illini1
Horrible! The new road jersey looks like a fake jersey you'd see in a TV show or movie.
Anubis2051
I love Oakland's whole set. Among the top 5 in the league overall in my opinion. The colors, the cleanliness of everything, the way the scripts and colors pop.I agree. The only thing I'd change is to ditch the road cap and wear the yellow bills in all 162 games. That's one of the best hats in the entire sport of baseball and should be worn as often as possible. I disagree. Their road hat fits perfectly with the road set. The white A's logo (just as with their white cleats) always looks out of place with the road set.And I agree, if the new green alt is just an inverse of the yellow jerseys, I'm ok with that. That awful new cap makes me think it won't be, though.Speaking of A's caps, I know a lot of us here know the A's defect cap that Lids had a few years ago that was all green with a white A's mark on it, but just the other day I found a home cap that had a defect where the A's mark was yellow. I'm still kicking myself for not buying it, or at least taking a picture, because it looked pretty damn good.Oh my god...I would kill for that hat. Sport
^That's the new road alternate. Yuck. That's not a jersey for a major league baseball team. That's a jersey for a generic baseball team in a Lipitor commercial
bradsbeard
Ugh. That road alt... Please at least let the pants have piping that matches the otherwise awkward center piping. So much "why?" in that jersey.
phutmasterflex
First impression of throwbacks are really nice. Alt roads not so much but we'll wait till I see it in action Go A's!
bradsbeard
So far on that Cubs road alt, you have mismatched sleeve and center piping, an awkward block font that badly overlaps with the center piping, a teeny tiny number, and the team name instead of the city. illini1
The Cubs new road alt with the white piping on the sleeves and red number also looks too much like the old Dodgers road jerseys.

Oh my god...I would kill for that hat.I was SO close to buying it, but it was a size too big and frankly, it still looked kind of unbalanced. Still, I should've bought it for the rarity factor. I think it was in Arden Fair Mall in Sacramento, but I actually can't remember. On 11/19/2012 at 7:23 PM, oldschoolvikings said: She’s still half convinced “Chris Creamer” is a porn site.) hawk36
Cubs. Too much. Have some self control and have one throwback a year. You've watered down the concept. Design Hovie Studios
bradsbeard
The throwback parade makes some sense as a 100th year of Wrigley thing (the Astros did the same thing for their 40th anniversary). But the road alt, which is neither a throwback nor aesthetically pleasing, makes absolutely no sense.

TheOldRoman
Yeah, the road alt has got to be in the running for one of the worst jerseys ever. What the hell? It doesn't have the city name on it. It awkwardly spreads a four-letter word across the whole chest. It doesn't use their proprietary number font. The front number is tiny. It apes the Dodgers' look. It has the same color balance problems as the normal road set and STILL doesn't just go with blue outlined in red. And on top of that, the sleeve piping is different than the placket piping. I think this jersey is a bigger piece of crap than the Giants' ill-advised road alternate.
bradsbeard
Apparently focus groups/market research is telling teams these days to slap placket piping on your jersey if at all possible, because people will buy it. Never mind if it doesn't look good, it just has to be there. It's the new BFBS.
IceCap
Cubs. Too much. Have some self control and have one throwback a year. You've watered down the concept. It's for the 100th anniversary of Wrigley Field. They'll presumably drop most, if not all, of these throwbacks after this upcoming season. SFGiants58
Well, the Cubs seem to be under the delusion that the "China Counterfeit" look is in right now. Might as well put "Clark the Cub" and his soulless stare on the sleeve. Ugh. MLB: Project 32 (Complete), MLB: The Defunct Saga (Complete)
Lights Out
That looks like absolute garbage. It seriously looks like what a low-budget Little League team named the Cubs would wear. POTD: 2/4/12 3/4/
