Now you guys see what I meant?

And the thing was, I was behind Mike with every move he made tonight. There was a lot to debate, but I was with him on everything. Thought he was having the best managerial night of his career, even after the Neshek move backfired. That was just baseball.

But then he put Wacha in, and that ought to go down as one of the worst blunders in baseball history.

I was certain Mike Matheny had as much job security as a guy without a championship could get. I hated it, but I was sure of it. I'm still really sure of it. But if there was one move that could have changed that... he made it. Unbelievable.

Gosh how can y'all complain saying "Worst manager in baseball."? I'm sure there are 15+ other teams that would love to have him as a manager. Sure he screwed up, but stuff like that happens. You win some, you lose some.

Any who, go Royals! Love seeing the Cards lose.

I think I'll be looking for a new team in April. Not happy with the Cardinals organization. Not because of the NLCS loss, no one really expected them to beat the Dodgers. But the awful defense, manager decisions, etc. The bitterness might be too much for me to continue to root for the Cardinals.

Go Sharks

Go Royals

Uh, what? Almost every other organization wishes they were the Cardinals organization. You're ridiculous.

Yeah, I really meant it as a sarcastic rant, though reading it back it may not have come across that way.

Was I upset at the Cardinals losing? A little, but I kind of expected it. Not because I didn't believe in the Cardinals, but the Giants are a really good, hot team right now and they have a really good team and home field advantage.

The Cardinals were not expected to be the Los Angeles Kershaws Dodgers, so getting to NLCS was awesome. Not happy with the way the Cardinals lost the NLCS, but I'm not going to jump ship off the Cardinals train.

There are probably 15+ teams who think they'd rather have him. And then they'd hire him. And then he wouldn't actually get them anywhere that the roster itself didn't already project them to go, and he'd piss them all off in the meantime, and then he'd make some of the worst decisions you've ever seen. And then eventually he'd get fired because their rosters weren't good enough to cover up his errors at all.

Also, oh sure the :censored: head Cardinals fans, who gave Linebaka and Spagnuolo so much credit for knowing what they were doing despite a wealth of evidence to the contrary, turn on the guy who's had the team in the playoffs each year of his career. Just for that I hope Matheny runs the Cardinals for the next decade.

He had 2 lefties in the pen to pitch to lefties but he put in a righty who hasn't pitched in a month. He pulled his best hitter in a 1 run game (which was immediately tied.) Neither of the two guys left on the bench at the end could swing a bat, one because of injury and one because of talent. He put the worse outfielder in right vs left in a 1 run game because...

Please defend these decisions and I'll agree the Cardinals are lucky to have him.

I think he was throwing up a middle finger to everyone who questioned not playing Tavaras and Wacha by setting them both up to potentially fair.

Takes nothing away from the Giants but it was bad management and it has been since he started as manager. Was willing to give him the benefit of the doubt as a new manager but now these aren't mistakes, these are his skills and they aren't good.

Wow.

I absolutely did NOT see this one coming, but then again, I never do. Even when I completely count this team out, which I did more than once this season (I believe it was The Six who called me, justifiably, a Debbie Downer), they still find a way. Travis freaking Ishikawa, of all people came through in the clutch. But despite that, this will still be his second appearance in the World Series with the Giants. This team, man. This team.

This is the greatest stretch of Giants baseball in the history of the franchise. Three World Series trips in 5 seasons. It's hard to put into words just how this feels. This team makes me so proud.

Bring on the Royals!

I don't think highly of Dusty Baker. But he edges out Matheny.

If there was any semblance of growth from Matheny, I'd deal with his screw ups as he learned. It'd still be frustrating to see them give the keys to a potential juggernaut to a guy that had to learn on the job, but at least there'd be hope.

But he's not learning. He's just bad. Really, really bad.

This is why the Psycho Panda exists! The Giants have earned it. Cardinals fans, the Dodgers have nothing to say but..............(bleep) you guys!

It would be great if your posts were a little less completely insane and antagonistic.

Last WC vs WC World Series was 2002 when the Angels beat the Giants.

Kansas City is just as much "West Coast" as Texas -- who faced the Giants in 2010.

Ohhh...WC means Wild Card. Got it.

Thank you Giants for another incredible ending. Weather they defeat Kansas City or not this has been an insane ride. I can't even imagine the possibility of them winning 3 titles in 5 years. Every team deserves a dynasty moment. I bleed orange and black. Always have always will. Go Giants!
