Unpopular opinion, but I HATE this jersey:

I mean, did you even try? It's like they were attempting to make it as Rangers-like as possible.

These are excellent. They look badass.

Who cares if the design isn't original. I thought 90s jerseys got a lot of hate because they were too original.

I can´t belive the Kings will have 2 stanley cup banners with that awful homeplate logo hanging from the rafters.....sigh, to me the Kings are the Gretzky era unis, i don´t see how any non LA residents can root for them now.......I have never seen anyone wear homeplate kings gear, only retro chevy stuff.......they have lost their identity imo

But having a shield logo is the perfect continuation look for the Kings. The Gretzky era jerseys with the Chevy logo never used a crown for the crest. Neither did their early 2000s hybrid look, until they changed it for a number of years. At least their current look makes sense, in that particular way...

I don't mind the current Kings primary logo. But for those who don't like it, what would you propose to fix it and/or make it better?

The biggest problem with the home plate logo is that there aren't two versions of it. It looks great on white jersey while on the black version, it's practically invisible. The most aggravating part of this flaw is how easy it would be to fix... (Ignore the simplified crown).

Minus the LOS ANGELES script at the bottom and a few tweaks needed, this is the best Kings set IMO. Would have loved to see them hoist the cup in these.

I really miss that set... Minus the alternate.

One season too late...

But the Edge versions of those jerseys sucked. Reebok absolutely ruined them by getting rid of the hem stripes and cool shoulder yoke.

Jeez. Thinking about it more and more, Reebok had way more :censored: ups than improvements. Even teams that stayed the same through the switchover looked better with CCM.

I'd reverse the crown and LA, kinda like this

Try putting LA back in the upper half, but in smaller letters. Keep the crown there, but shrink it and keep it below LA. Add something else into the bottom half...

It would also be great if the Kings incorporate their cool Stadium Series LA patch onto their regular set somewhere. Maybe for the shoulder patch.

I really want to see this logo in silver or white for the home uniforms. I think I've practically been spamming my dislike of the current logo on the black uniforms...

I ready hope they don't add an outline to those stars numbers... It would be a downgrade, and rightfully piss off everyone that just bought the new uniforms less than a year ago.

because changing the number outline somehow invalidates the team jersey you currently own?

most people expect to get more than one season of "accuracy" when they buy a newly re-designed uniform. and since stars authentics weren't made available until around new years anyway, that's only a couple months of accuracy for my nichushkin sweater (assuming the numbers ARE changing, and on both sweaters.)

still, i'm not convinced they've made any changes. if they still don't have the number font correct, and they're still using the wrong cut with rounded shoulders, why are we taking their number outlines as gospel?

The thing about EA, while the jerseys aren't always 100% correct, they don't traditionally make mistakes with colors. Last year they had the Stars jerseys correct (in terms of no outline around numbers). I don't see them randomly adding an outline without being prompted. I could be wrong, but I can't think of any examples.

I agree though, I'd be livid if I bought a Stars jersey last year and they changed the numbers this year. That being said, I'd welcome the black outline, think it would look sharp.

If anyone bought a stars jersey in the current design, then that person is not gonna care about some outline around the numbers.
Do you realize what board you are on?

Ok, but how many fans are actually like us and will notice/care?

Nobody cares about your humungous-big signature.

well, it's already been brought up multiple times on twitter, and on hfboards in the stars section... while a florida panthers fan might not notice the stars changed their numbers, stars fans are already noticing, and they haven't even changed officially yet.
