12 years.. that how long Oregon has owned Washington. It's now getting to the point where even a beaten and battered Oregon team is still too much. Dog gone Dawgs.

As for the Michigan punter: Anyone who knows me knows that I hate Michigan... so you can imagine how I felt when I heard that they blew the game sky high on the final punt. All I can do is laugh... and laugh... and laugh some more (in fact, I think rams still has the old clip of Archimedes from Disney's The Sword in the Stone laughing his ass off. That how I felt). But, to attack the poor punter on Twitter is cheap. He made a mistake and I am sure he's owning up to it.

He made an 80 yard punt in that game I believe. Anyone bashing him is just being short sighted and stupid.

So Maryland just hired Mike Locksley to coach their football team. This is the same guy who went 2-26 at New Mexico, which was his only stint as a head coach. Does Maryland just hate their football program that much?

Isn't he just an interim coach promoted from offensive coordinator?

He's the interim.

He's also probably one of the best recruiters in the country when it comes to DC/Northern Virginia, so that's one mark in his favor.

I was under the assumption he was full time, that's great news if he isn't. Even then, he'd be the last guy I would trust with my football team.

Muschamp was a great recuiter too and we all know how that turned out.

Yeah, Florida lost their QB to steroid testing and is still the SEC East favorite. All while being run by Colorado State's coach.

What does what Florida did after Muschamp left have to do with what he did as a coach? I never said he can't recruit, but he certainly didn't provide the results where it mattered. Hell just look at Driskel. Completely awful at Florida, and now is throwing for like 300 yards a game at Lousiana Tech. Recuiting only helps if you know what to do with those recruits, that's my point.

Florida now has consistent OL play and McElwain keeping OLcoach Mike Summers has assisted by requiring less change.

In Muschamp's four seasons at Florida, he has three OCs and three OL coaches. That instability, starting with Charlie Weis getting hired at Kansas taking OL coach Frank Verducci with him started his offensive troubles and he never mettled with the playcalling.

Wasn't that because he constantly replaced all of his assistents?

Gene Chizik was 5-16 at Iowa State.

Auburn hired him away from ISU and they won the national championship.

It's pretty much luck of the draw. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't.

Cal losing by 20 at UCLA with their "high-powered offense" having scored a whopping 3 points. Pac-12 right?

I consider it 15+ seasons of "Cal* Hype" whenever they seem to have a talented team and/or hit 4-0 or better.

The Cal RT is a turnstyle tonight.

*-Sans the Karl Dorrell years, the same thing has been said about the talent of the UCLAn.

You could probably lump USC in that category as well. They sure have been "back" and have had a lot of talented teams go 8-5 in the past 5 years.

Never saw what was so great about Cal either, they're extremely luck to have beaten Texas, and both games against the Washington schools were close. There just another one of those "middle" Pac-12 teams. Utah and Stanford seem to have established themselves as the classes of the conference.

I think it's a testament to just how good Jared Goff is. They basically have nobody on that roster other than him, yet they're still 5-2.
