The league isn't going to watch this L.A. fiasco unfold indefinitely. At some point the other owners will lean on their colleague to sell the team, and a new owner will then be able to return the Chargers to San Diego. What are the chances of the Chargers failing in LA and moving somewhere other than San Diego in your scenario? Is it a foregone conclusion that if LA doesn't work out the Bolts return home? Or does some other city get the chance to attract an NFL team? I know there's no way to know, I guess I'm just asking your opinion. FiddySicks
The Sacramento Chargers. Nope. Even I don't like the sound of that one. Also, if I'm the city of San Diego and the Chargers come crawling back with their tails in between their legs, I tell them to go get :censored:ed harder than anyone has ever been :censored:ed in the history of :censored:ing. Moving the Chargers to another city does not really erase the embarrassment of this error; and it certainly does not assauge the ill-will in San Diego. Whereas, moving the team back to San Diego under new ownership turns a big negative into a big positive. Virgin territory can be handled with expansion, or else with the transfer of some other team that is actually failing in its current home (as opposed to one, like the Chargers, which is doing well in its current home but which has been unable to extort the municipal government into a bad deal). DG_ThenNowForever
I listen to the Russilo/Long NFL recap podcast, and they routinely make the San Diego/LA error. At this point, it's becoming an in-joke, but it does show just now bungled the whole move was. The NFL should be more professionally managed than to have a franchise unnecessarily withering on the vine. However, I think it continues to be pretty funny that the Chargers move has been such a disaster and the NFL deserves every bit of egg on its face. The good people of San Diego, however, do not. 1 hour ago, ShutUpLutz! said: and the drunken doodoobags jumping off the tops of SUV's/vans/RV's onto tables because, oh yeah, they are drunken drug abusing doodoobags
