"This is truly a dream come true for me and my family," said Barroway. "I am extraordinarily grateful for the opportunity of a lifetime and look forward to working and solidifying a strong partnership with the Club's current ownership group."

Umm...does this guy really know what he got himself into? And who calls owning the Phoenix Arizona Coyotes a "dream?"

Keep in mind that he has a Tim Hortons down the hall from his office now.

In fairness, like all the decision making concerning the Coyotes, he probably got a Magic 8-ball and asked it if it was a good investment to buy the coyotes. The ball probably said "yes, definitely" and he went with it.

I shouldn't doubt the ability of the NHL to find an idiot owner, but I feel like this guy has to have bought in with the endgame in mind. He's just saying what's expected of him until the Glendale money runs out.

He was brought in also to drop a lawsuit against the NHL and the Islanders owner.

"The announced attendance of 11,419 was the smallest for a home opener in franchise history. The previous low was 12,087 at Miami Arena for the 1995-96 debut famously remembered as the 'Rat Trick' game."

Remember that the Panthers have been drawing like this for quite some time. It;s just advantageous for them now to stop padding the numbers and go with the actual turnstile count, so that they can more convincingly beg Broward County for a couple hundred million more dollars in taxpayer money when the time comes. They may average under 10,000 for the season.

The Panthers don't actually want to leave, though. They want to build a hotel and casino on their property, and they want a drastic increase in the hotel tax that directly funds the Panthers, so they can kick that money back to themselves, all while convincing Broward County not to scrap the advantageous lease deal that still has 14 years on it. They're working the con here.

Panthers to Québec City, Coyotes to Seattle

Enough said.

FTFY. What makes you think Seattle is worse than Kansas City?

Seattle's arena is still hypothetical.

Somehow, I'm compelled to think that Arizona fans will try to one-up this showing to reclaim the crown as the most pathetic fan-base in sports, while simultaneously thinking they're the greatest.

One hell of a view! I mean, you can smoke weed, get hammered and get blown around the waistline, and the ushers won't give a damn because you're at a Florida Panthers game you'd be behind a huge, black curtain.
