Crabcake
Good for Peyton. Not always been his biggest fan, but I am kinda glad to see him ride off into the sunset. Also happy for Demarcus Ware, Von Miller, and the rest of the defense for getting the Super Bowl they deserved. Things I'm not happy about: John Elway having success at anything The intolerable amount of hate Cam Newton will get The fact that Peyton will be remembered for "leading" them to the victory despite doing essentially nothing The fact that Ron Rivera's first challenge wasn't successful The commercials, for the most part The hate Coldplay is getting for the halftime show

habsfan1
Peyton is lucky he had the League's top defence to back him up. He wouldn't have his 2nd ring without them. Tonight, he played decent through the first half. But after that, it seems like his arms and legs just gave out on him and he couldn't throw a thing after that. Still, I'm glad the Broncos won the game. Although it wasn't his best game, it still gave him the oppurtunity for a shining moment to retire as champion. And to tie his brother one way or another. Doesn't matter how he won. At the end of the day, he'll be wearing twice as much bling.

I'm pretty sure he doesn't have an endorsement deal with Budweiser. The NFL does, I think. Anyway, I don't think he's getting a check for saying Budweiser. After that, Jim, I'm gonna enjoy probably 18 ice cold Budweisers, and no other beer, of course, and then I'll drive home in my brand new 2016 Jeep Grand Cherokee. Alex Houston
I'm curious to know from a Panthers fan perspective: does this loss sting any less or more than the one back in 2004? I imagine less since the one versus Brady came down to the final seconds. Also, something for contemplation: Does Eli still get to hold his perfect Super Bowl record over Peyton, even though Peyton went to two more? "And then I remember to relax, and stop trying to hold on to it, and then it flows through me like rain and I can't feel anything but gratitude for every single moment of my stupid little life... You have no idea what I'm talking about, I'm sure. But don't worry... you will someday."

Crabcake
Imo the Panthers choked this game away. Yeah the Broncos' defense might be one of the top 10 ever, but the Panthers made so many more mistakes than the 4 turnovers. Dumb penalties, mental mistakes, etc. Cam dragged them kicking and screaming into a close game.
FiddySicks
Look, I get that Peyton didn't really do :censored: tonight. But isn't it at least somewhat fitting that in a career where he basically had to carry every team he was on, that his last game wasn't left in his hands? It's kind of about time IMO. I am not a Panthers fan, though I admire what they've accomplished this season silencing doubters until tonight. I bet the loss does sting, mightily. They played their worst game of a then 1 loss season. Newton giving up on that late fumble isn't a great lasting memory. @2001mark
DG_ThenNowForever
I'd been picking Carolina all week, but somewhere I posted that the Denver run-up to the Super Bowl reminded me an awful lot of the 2000 Ravens who barely scored during the season but flattened all of their opponents. I didn't enjoy watching the game very much, but there's no denying that the best team won. Carolina couldn't get its act together, Denver was opportunistic, Peyton might as well have not played, and -- I'll go there -- the Panthers didn't get much help from the refs. But clearly Denver peaked at the right time and their defense won a championship in one more ugly game after a string of bunch more throughout the season. Good for them. 1 hour ago, ShutUpLutz! said: and the drunken doodoobags jumping off the tops of SUV's/vans/RV's onto tables because, oh yeah, they are drunken drug abusing doodoobags
habsfan1
Was Eli honestly p*ssed because Peyton tied him for Super Bowl rings? The expression on his face from that shot of the Manning family after the game-winning touchdown...seriously??? https://mtc.cdn.vine.co/r/videos/4D10E28FB81308315710757675008_46c2a00484d.5.1.14317891979158216011.mp4

CS85
It's not like Peyton's dead. It's not like he's going anywhere. If anything he'll be on TV even more. More shows, far more advertisements, and likely won't ever not be a part of the football media in some regard for many years. He's too marketable to do something as easy as film commercials & yak idly about football on ESPN with other guys who only want to kiss his ass more. I'm not salty for Carolina - I could give a crap - but I've never been one to blow soap bubbles up Peyton's urethra just for being America's Aw Shucks Hero or something. He's one of the greats of all damn time, and I respect and admire his career, but I'm burnt out all to hell on hearing his voice, and seeing his face.
