Joe Blanton has actually had a great year out of the 'pen!

...but yeah, it's so Blanton to give up a go-ahead grand slam in the NLCS even when he has a career year.

(also, it seems there are more Cubs fans on these boards then ever. I wonder why...)

I suspect that most neutral fans (i.e., those who are not fans of Cleveland, Toronto, or LA) are pulling for the Cubs...not just on the boards but everywhere.  They have a national following, play in a charming ballpark, and of course have the drought.  As long as they stay alive, there will be a lot of temporary Cubs fans.

I think he was aiming for a Joe Blanton spiel.....

I had no idea that slob was even still in the league. I haven't been following until just now since the cubs are doing well.

The Kershaw Game is happening, and if the Cubs can survive to the LA bullpen only trailing by one, they can maybe pull something out of their asses.

Jansen was unhittable.  Kershaw was sort of hittable, but mostly not.  That was always going to be a loss.  Cubs are grateful to take this tie to LA and hope they don't deal with Kershaw ever again.

Cubs looked thoroughly underwhelming tonight. Kershaw looked great. Stop it, Cubs.

I mean what do you want?  The guy was lights out.  Jansen came in and pitched perfectly.  It was 9 innings of pitching hell.  The Dodgers weren't going to go down without a fight and I'd rather them lose this one against this son of a bitch instead of to Rich Hill.

If the Cubs lose to Rich Hill, you'll start to hear panic sirens and the walls of despair will close in quickly.

Oh yeah, it's totally reasonable to lose to Kershaw. But STOP. Don't do that again!

Jays better wear home whites today or the series is over.  I know it's the players who choose it, or have the greatest say, yet c'mon.

As for Bautista trending, he's done everything for this franchise since he became a starter, alas I do not wish to extend his stay with diminishing returns & him continually telling everyone what he thinks about conspiracies or whatever.

The Dodgers came away with a 1-0 win and all it took was MLB's best pitcher to and one of the game's better closers to bring their A-games to Wrigley.

Relaxxx. Unless Kershaw is going in Games 4, 6 and 7, the Cubs are still the clear favorites in this series.

And oh by the way, Javy Baez. :notworthy:

I'm finding myself rooting for Cleveland. This is weird.

Cleveland and Cincy truthfully hasn't been the same from a sports rivalry perspective in a long time.

Marvin Lewis has had the Browns number for years, the Indians and Reds have rarely been good at the same time.
