BigBubba
Why the hell would the Jndians put Bauer in two days after receiving 10 stitches on his pinky? He lasted 2/3 of an inning, and now you've just A. exacerbated his injury; B. forced yourselves to dig deep into your bullpen. Nobody cares about your humungous-big signature. FGM13
To be fair, 2 innings each from Otero, Shaw, and Allen, with 3 from Miller in between Shaw and Allen, is probably better than 6 innings of Bauer anyway. Now if they get hit... then the Land (hate that term) has a problem. GO OILERS-GO BLUE JAYS-GO ESKIMOS-GO COLTS

Anyway, I think the smarter play would have been to move Bauer to the end of the rotation to allow his finger more time to heal. Why Francona thought skipping one start would give Bauer enough recovery time is anyone's guess. Running him out there too soon may mean that the Indians/Cleveland/the Tribe (all better names than "the Land") have lost Bauer for the series. Not the best thing when you're already down a couple starters.

I barely know who he is and I pride myself on knowing every major leaguer (I don't have a lot going on). Tito didn't have much of a choice, and unfortunately for Cleveland it didn't work out. FiddySicks
So, I guess Toronto just isn't gonna show up for this series, huh? Two years in a row, really. If I had a choice between “bullpen day” and “Clevinger starts,” I would’ve taken the former every damn day. Thanks, Gibbons, for forcing Bauer out of the game when he had just walked two of three batters.
infrared41
Of all the things I expected in this series, the Indians being up 3-0 wasn't any of them. Also, and this may have been mentioned already, but when was the last time two deadline deals by the Yankees ended up playing such a large role in helping other teams in the playoffs? Unocal
Now I'm kinda pulling for the Cubs because I don't know if Cleveland vs. California Part III is something i want to see.

habsfan1
If we get Cubs vs Indians, Cleveland is going to go from the city everyone cheered for...to the notorious villains. How do you root against the Cubs?
2001mark
Ice cold. Jays' bats are completely gonzo. This would've just been some ordinary Jays' week long cold streak bounced back by some road trip out west or a return home. Just as they turned it on in Sept from their Aug & ruined the Rangers to cap it. Riding on power all or nearly nothing has its disadvantages. Carrera's slappers, & Donaldson's base hits don't matter if everyone else who's supposed to do a job doesn't. If Atkins & Shapiro don't replace Bautista with a more complimentary table setter, they should just resign because that'll be their biggest gap for 2017. @2001mark

How do you root against the Cubs? Cardinals fans or in my case I have a family member in the Indians organization, so if the Dodgers go out I'm rooting for cleveland over the cubs. Kershaw is GOD! I think more people would rather root for the Midwestern small-market team that hasn't won it all since the 1940s over the big-city team with the 200 million dollar payroll. Exactly, surprised Francona would make such a dumb decision, looks like the postseason often brings out the dumbest in managers. In game 1 , Martin was batting before Tulo, that was also dumb. Had it been the other way around, Toronto perhaps had put a few runs on the board. Who knows what could have happened then.

When a city like Chicago has like 27 major sports championships, it's really hard to feel bad for that fanbase. Not only that the Cubs fans seem to be everywhere and share the same arrogance as Redsox and Yankees fans.
