College Football 2018-19: Santa Clara is that a way.

I expected that score to be reversed. Lawrence hasn't had to make any decisions under duress and if Clemson wasn't tipping half their blitzes they could be up by more.

Ok so now Bama is just getting straight up boatraced. What the hell is going on here?

Etienne running all over the place helped too.

Losing or almost losing a game they shouldn't is the greatest tradition in Clemson football. Their last title team lost to Pitt after all.

Don't worry, Bama & Clem will play for the NC next year and the year after that and the year after that and so on and so forth.

I finally understand why SEC schools keep firing coaches that can't beat Saban. What a pack of losers those guys must be.

Bama will win it next year since its an even year. Clemson wins in the odd years.

Has anybody actually fired a coach for not beating Saban?

Les Miles is probably the closest to actually being fired for basically that reason. But it comes down to failing to meet expectations and everybody in the SEC thinks they should be able to compete for the SEC title, and if you don't beat Saban, you're not winning that title. It's mostly a narrative that gets spread a bunch and I decided to make a very hilarious, incredibly genius joke referencing that.

Now that the game is over, I never expected Clemson to clown Alabama they way they did tonight. For sure, I thought Bama could regain composure and bounce back in the second half.

King Kong Bundy (Clemson) dropping the elbow on Little Beaver (Bama).

You could say that Tennessee has fired three: Fulmer, Dooley, and Jones.

While at Alabama, Saban has not lost to Tennessee.  His last loss to them was in 2001 regular season at LSU and got revenge in that season's SEC Championship.

I feel like the only way we avoid this is Saban or Swinney take their talents to somewhere else. But at least we knew it was the two best teams playing tonight. I don't think any other team could whoop Alabama like that and I'm certain if they played 9 more times it might be 50-50.

I mean... Dooley won 15 games in three years, so it wasn't just Saban. 😄

I could see Dabo replacing Saban at Bama if or when he retires.

Pretty sure that was the loss that knocked the Vols out of the title game vs Miami. Granted, they would’ve been slaughtered even worse than Nebraska was in the championship game, but still...
