I think if only one or two teams did it (BVB and Man City) it would be OK. But the fact that all of the club Puma teams are doing it is what the problem is. I don't mind it in a vacuum of a couple of teams taking it on. But Puma's entire roster??

These new Puma jerseys remind me of the t-shirts Nike pushed out for college/pro football teams a few years ago: Look, I appreciate the attempt at being unique, but if I've learned anything from the last few months about soccer, is that the tradition of the game (including basic jersey design and placement) is untouchable. 1 Quote Visit my website at SSmith Designs (google.com)

Crabcake
The LFC one would be acceptable if the collar was white or green, or heck even yellow. That weird salmon/coral color though? No thanks. Although I will say almost every single LFC kit looks better on field than in the previews, so I’ll reserve my full judgment till I see it live.

They get worse as I scroll. Maybe a new kit every year is a bad idea when there's this force1 that says they must be wildly different Footnote 1 Force refers to money, which is the same force that tried to build a super league.

As long as it's not that obvious it shouldn't be too bad. I think we'll get an idea of what this will look like during the Euros. Is the gradient supposed to represent a chrome look or is that the actual pattern that will be on the uniforms? That could be an issue. Here's a mockup with the pattern subdued.
Digby
I’m interpreting that City kit as having an incandescent effect in the printing, like the light-shifting satin or metallic printing, not a gradient itself. Might look cool but might look bad! Quote Fan Style ShirtsShowcasing fan-made sports apparel by artists and designers
