I like how this image has been posted twice now (on a forum for logos, no less) by people so obviously tickled by the "SL,UT" moniker that they completely failed to notice Jerry West capping the Salt Lake temple.

I actually really kind of love that. I'd love that on a t-shirt. (the Jerry West logo, the SL,UT moniker is way overplayed).

They really didn't think this through, eh?  🤦‍♂️

"SLUT" is what cool people who move to Salt Lake City call it to signal that they're not Mormons.

♫ oh yeah, board goes on, long after the thrill of postin' is gone ♫

I love the Miami one. that's what I was thinking for a city Jersey.

I like Bucks, Wolves, Suns and Grizzlies most.

Well I was wrong and ball that I described as Money Ball is in fact a Collector Ball. Here is Money Ball:

Less crazy but still crazy.

I just realized the Knicks are using their old logo on their Statement shorts. I guess it visually fits better but that's not the teams logo anymore so that's pretty stupid when you think about it.

also kinda odd that they have two different shades of orange on these unis which isn’t part of their branding that i know of.. + the fading effect which technically adds some more color. neat design but it doesn’t really align with their branding so it really bugs me. looks more like an astros jersey than anything.

makes me wonder if any other teams have a jersey that doesn’t fully align with their branding (excluding city edition.) closest i can think of is the clippers but turns out they made the old english wordmark an official logo now

The Pistons introduced that questionable new black Statement edition this year, having black no where in their color scheme and using a font that's not in their branding package, as well. It does have the horizontal blue and red stripes that tie into the Bad Boys era warmups, but as been the case with most of their alts over the last 10+ years, I am not a fan.

It’s tired to complain about, I know, but yeah, Bucks in black and Celtics in green on an unrelated blue court is next-level nonsensical. Rough look for a matchup of the two best teams in the league. Bucks nearly lost it for those karmic reasons, too.

Oh we have a better one tonight— OKC in black vs Phoenix in turquoise that’s close to normal OKC blue, but they’re at home so the court is also black. 😵💫

I’m not a traditionalist hardcore person when it comes to NBA unis, but also I turn these games on late at night after I’ve drank a few and I shouldn’t have to calibrate my brain this much.

i was confused what you meant when you said the suns were at home with a black court. but then i looked at the game and realized they have a black city edition court for their…turquoise jerseys. really ironic as city edition courts are suppose to save viewers from confusion

Me thinks that's navy blue instead of black. Quite honest, I'd rather see that logo instead of current one.

It also doesn’t have the drop shadow on the inner angles too. That’s clearly just the current logo with some navy recolored in.

You're absolutely right. The 90's logo had that weird shadowing inside the letters and now that I realize this, it's the one thing that bothered me about that logo and I never realized it until now.

Very nice, though IMO the v in Mavs needs some changes. At first glance it looked like ‘Malls”
