I agree it's down there. A white helmet with a red and blue color scheme isn't super creative. The helmet stripe widening in the back is the most interesting uniform element they have that I can think of. Overall I like the Bills current look, and it’s MILES better than the nickel infused mess they had before this. But I do think the red helmet was a better look for them. I’m hoping they bring that back as the primary helmet eventually. At this point, throwing any teams colors any which way onto a regular braisher-striped helmet with the logo slapped on top is like a box propped up by a stick with a piece of cheese under it for uni-watchers. Of course it’s gonna look good; doesn’t mean it has any implication whatsoever on what the team should be wearing. Let alone that the Giants logo would look sharp on there as well, or Kansas or SMU. Swap the colors for black, orange and white with the Bengals logo on there and it’s still gonna look sharp. Or put the colors back and throw on the Cubs logo. Am I double-crazy for being driven crazy by the fact that they won’t try teal socks with this look? Might be a little odd for the only teal on there to be below the knees, but god the fans are sick of uniforms with no teal on them. Of the three "potential colors" (or team colors, I guess) that the Bills could ostensibly use for their helmet, I'd say blue is the last of those three options only because both red and white provide better contrast with the body of the buffalo being blue. (And that's not even a hard and fast rule, necessarily. My favorite Falcons helmet is the 1990 - 2002 black-on-black helmet.) Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
