DoctorWhom
I hope we do get a Bengals - 49ers Rematch for the Super Bowl. I'd be happy with either team in that case. Burrow really doesn't get the credit he deserves. He's been one of the best QB's in the NFL yet Mahomes & Allen are talked about far more. 49ers winning would just be absolute hilarious chaos. After spending a #3 pick on a QB, losing him to injury, having to rely on Jimmy G (after trying so hard to shop him around) only for him to get injured, and finally winning it all with a rookie "Mr. Irrelevant" 3rd string QB, would just be hilarious not just for the team, but the whole NFL. But seriously, what do the 49ers do if they win the Super Bowl with Brock Purdy? Do they still keep Lance as their starting QB next year? Or does he become the new Jordan Love? 1

At the same time, once Jacksonville got their franchise in '93, that immediately became my team B. And I mean I was all ABOUT some Bucs and Jags back in the day. Shoot I still have my cuz's [replithentic] creamsicle jersey and my customized red jersey with my first initial and his number on it (because we have the same last name and all). I say all that to say this: sometime between the time MoMo (that'd be Raheem Morris, current Rams defensive coordinator) got cut loose and Ronde Barber finally retired, I emotionally cut ties with them and really at the same time pulled my emotional investment out of being a "uberfan" of any one team in any sport. Sports is much more enjoyable that way. Sure I still have my primary teams I root for—the Jags, the Twins (until I move again), Florida State, Arkansas and VGK (and I may or may not have a few too many black-and-teal-colored items in my place and on my truck )—but *sports* life has been far less stressful since that time. Which is to say: it can be done, if you truly wish. Ayo Derrick Brooks is your cousin? That must be awesome to have a famous cousin Quote trueyankee26.wordpress.com
GDAWG
If anything Purdy's success in the NFL could have guys like Stetson Bennett and Max Duggan thinking "I could do that too."
pepis21
I feel like Prescott in that last play did Eric Cartman and say "Screw you guys, I'm going home". Last year Cowboys game had hilarious ending but this year might be even more hilarious.

Depends on if they actually pull the trigger on TB12 or AR12. I can't see Brady going out to San Francisco though. The kids he has with Giselle are in Miami and the child he has with Blue Bloods star Bridget Moynihan lives in New York.

dont care
Yea so if that last play doesn’t get kellen Moore, and mike McCarthy fired I don’t know what will. That was nearly as bad as this play https://youtu.be/6i7VKQwDS2s

DCarp1231
I remember just last season when Kellen Moore was a hot commodity for HC openings. He’s hurt his own stock tremendously this season.

I have no idea what the end-game was there - there's no chance anyone's jumping offsides there, so it was dumb regardless. At least with the Dallas play, I get what they were trying to do, and in theory, it makes sense since someone can throw it right back to Elliot and he'd have blockers on either side - but it all depends on him not getting absolutely demolished by a rusher - which means it could never work, and was therefore, just like their owner, coaches, and QB, dumb as F. 3 Quote "The views expressed here are mine and do not reflect the official opinion of my employer or the organization through which the Internet was accessed." It would really be something. Niners have been searching, mostly in vain, for a replacement for Joe Montana and Steve Young ever since Young got his head bashed in. It’s been a really miserable journey to watch (passing on Tom Brady in particular for Giovanni Carmazzi is never not going to be funny to me). It feels really fitting that the Niners greatest success in all of this came with two dudes that basically nobody ever expected to do anything in Purdy and Colin Kaepernick (I’m a firm believer that Jimmy G was more of a detriment to their success than a benefit). IIRC they traded up for him, so I think most people expected him to do something. Yesterday was my first time watching Purdy, and he's much better than I expected. He's never played in an environment like he'll see next week, but he seems remarkably poised for a late-round rookie, so we'll see. This will be by far the toughest game the Eagles have played - and their schedule was not easy, considering they had 7 games against playoff teams, and several others against teams that just missed. But it's also the 49ers toughest game, and their schedule was a relative cakewalk. So we'll see - it could really go either way. EDIT: I think we truly got the best final 4 teams regardless of conference. I'm not sure how often that happens, but definitely not every year. Indigo
I once watched a video about an NBA fan who entered "fan free agency". * I'm going to do the same. I've only been a Cowboys fan for the last 5 years, but i can tell this franchise is going nowhere anytime soon. I don't even know who to blame this time. Everyone who didn't line up on defense needs to go. I've been a Dak supporter since the start, but this Jameis Winston impression is just baffling. On top of that, both him and Zeke swindled Jerry Jones into extremely large deals that handicap the rest of the roster, which lead to losing Amari Cooper and Randy Gregory. I'm done. I'm want to root for a team where the expectations set for the season are realistically based on the roster and not pipe dreams. I want a team where the topic of discussion is the future and not the past. I want a team that dissapoints normally and not in comedic ways. Given that I lived in Central FL and witnessed the Jaguars' 2017 AFCCG run, then watched Trevor Lawrence in college in SC, i'm leaning towards becoming a Jaguars fan. But if anyone on the boards can convince me to join their side, I'd be happy to oblige. My NFL fandom free agency period has offically opened. *EDIT: here is an article about him: https://www.kgw.com/article/news/local/blazers-flying-lifelong-fan-from-ny-to-portland-for-game-3-of-series-vs-denver/283-d55e2b56-007b-401a-84ca-387485c30cdb Edited January 23, 2023 by Indigo

Unocal
The gap between Burrow/Mahomes and every other AFC QB is astronomical Allen is no longer a franchise QB after playing worse than Dak on Sunday, Herbert showed his true colors in the 27-0 collapse, and Lawrence showed on Saturday he's not ready for primetime It's like a few years back in the NBA in regards to LeBron and the next best player 1

Not by much, but that's the one I'd take. 4 1 Quote "The views expressed here are mine and do not reflect the official opinion of my employer or the organization through which the Internet was accessed." DCarp1231
Stefon Diggs stormed out of the Bills stadium yesterday after yesterday’s lost frustrated. Didn’t talk to the media or anything. Just left. Fellow Bills WR Isaiah McKenzie was able to speak with Diggs last night. Diggs kept telling him “Every year? It’s the same thing.” Sounds like some coaching changes should come to Buffalo.
