What's with the "F*** Seattle" chants at Cincinnati? This is Seattle's first game in Cincinnati and their third together overall.

Why so angry?

Uh, because Seattle is just not a good city? Never been to the city but haven't heard good things about it. (Very rainy, people seem to be unfriendly towards visitors, fans in all sports seem to have a grudge against every team in their leagues). I mean, don't get me wrong, Cincinnati isn't exactly Versailles either, but from what I've heard, the two cities are almost polar opposites politically, so it could also just be Rednecks being Rednecks. Eh, whatever, it's Soccer, I hardly care.

I’ve lived in both cities. If you don’t know what you’re talking about then stay quiet.

Hi. Been to around five ATX matches....had a great time.  More than likely will attend more in the coming season..  Just stated that the experiences have been a little more err..ummm.."dickish" then I'm used to.  Don't like the new jersey, apparently that's a huge problem.

I was there. I don't know what that was about and I didn't like it, but I don't think it was personal. ":censored: Seattle" seemed to happen whenever the refs made an iffy call. (And that guy lost control of that one in the second half.) If we were playing St. Louis or Charlotte or whoever it would've been that city instead. I do wish the fans would find another way to express themselves.

Cincinnati the city, like most cities, isn't as far off politically from Seattle as people think. The average FC Cincinnati fan is a college educated, white collar, hipster. The soccer crowd here is the farthest thing from "redneck".

The city of Cincinnati is definitely not redneck. The surrounding counties in Northern Kentucky, SE Indiana, and the Eastern counties of the Cincinnati metro area are debatable however.

Correct, but those people weren’t in the soccer stadium last night. Kooky doesn’t know what he’s talking about.

Cincinnati is great. When I lived in Louisville -- also not a redneck city -- going to Cincinnati was a big treat. Great American Ballpark is a great American baseball stadium and I always found the city to be clean and way more metropolitan than anything nearby.

The ref in last night's game was trash. Also, Apple TV needs more camera angles, because we didn't get a good view of the handball that didn't get called for Seattle or the disallowed goal.

There's a reason I don't talk about towns I haven't been to. Because it makes one look silly when they admit that second part. I've also been to Seattle, and it operrates like every other big city. Also, the rain year round bit is incorrect, it's just a trope that's attached to the city in general media. It's also why people don't realize that Washington state has a desert and most people aren't aware because they attach this idea of Seattle to the rest of the state.

Ive been to Seattle as well, however it did rain all 4 days I was there. It may have just been timing. Seattle is a very different climate from the rest of the state though but because Seattle is the largest of the cities in Washington everyone thinks the state is just the same climate as Seattle. Seattle is a coastal city and coastal cities tend to be more prone to rain than non coastal. Comparing the climate in Seattle to the climate in say Spokane, Tri Cities, and Yakima, its night and day.

It does rain a lot in Seattle whenever it isn’t the summer, but I’ve never been to any city that has a more amazing summer climate than Seattle. Crystal clear and like, 75-80 degrees most days. Pretty much impossible to beat.

You got out before wildfire season took over. The last 3 or 4 years we get 6-8 straight weeks of smoke and low air quality. It sucks.

This has been a particularly tough winter too. Rain most days. A ton of snow. I've lost trees in my yard due to crazy windstorms.

Climate change is a :censored:.
