The defacto colors for Phoenix area pro sports teams are Brick/Maroon and Sand, and it would just make too much sense to see them trend in that direction. I’m starting to wonder if that “orange” color we keep hearing about is actually copper. I could absolutely get behind an AZ Cardinals team in Brick, Sand, and a touch of copper. That could look very nice. I would think Copper, and Cotton would be the obvious choices. If you’re from Arizona at a young age you learn the 5c’s of Arizona Copper, Cotton, Cattle, Citrus and Climate. So would love to see some kind of copper in the uniform. But of course because the other two teams incorporate sand into their logos and uniforms it’ll likely be sand and copper

The Arizona Cardinals and the Tillman family has always had a close relationship, especially with the Tillman Foundation here in the Phoenix area. I think if they ever do desert camp, they would do it out of respect for the Tillman family.
Carolingian Steamroller
There’s been so little around the Cardinals that it’s really tough to figure out. We know it’s modern and unique but not much else concrete.

flyersfan
Sounds like helmet will be white. My guess is the tint flakes type of shell. Sounds most reasonable while being “unique”. based on last year black helmet and the teaser, I imagine we’re seeing some sort of chrome logo/face mask to match. unique colors new to major sports makes me believe there’s more of a copper since it’s also “not anything like the rams bone”, which to me rules out a sand color. the draft hat being old red and yellow/gold is the wrench that makes no sense… unless it’s a decoy! tBBP
So I guess my main question now (as if this wasn't the case before) is: what what point does all this cross the pale from being a "Cardinals rebrand" to being a "hot, fresh, out-the-box, uniquely Arizona-themed brand for a team that oh by the way also just happens to be nicknamed the Cardinals"? I'm willing to bet my next three paychecks they shot that 8-ball clean into the corner pocket of the latter... 7 *Disclaimer: I am not an authoritative expert on stuff...I just do a lot of reading and research and keep in close connect with a bunch of people who are authoritative experts on stuff. || dribbble || Behance ||

My favorite team’s aesthetic can be summed up “The Cubs but in Fighting Illini colors.” Not exactly ursine.

We’ll see, I guess. My only hope is that Nike has seen how many teams have made these out of the box changes only to switch back to something more traditional as soon as the uniform cycle is over that maybe they’re starting to use a little more caution. But knowing Nike? I’m doubting that. 2 On 11/19/2012 at 7:23 PM, oldschoolvikings said: She’s still half convinced “Chris Creamer” is a porn site.) jerrylawless3
The Cardinals twitter and website have rolled out their current look for Draft graphics. Still the same colors, wordmark, and logo (albeit with a flex chrome effect, and a reverse ghost version in the background). Even if things are changing, they're keeping tight lips and the status quo, even four days before the suspected reveal. 2
ramsjetsthunder
I think we can all agree that this Cardinals identity may be the best kept secret in NFL uniform design in the past decade. On a somewhat unrelated note, if we get a white helmet with copper fleck to create a sandy-type effect, along with the standard logo with a copper beak, I think it's an instant Top 10 helmet. 9

BBTV
Since the reveal is soon and last few pages have been 99% Cardinals, is it appropriate for a specific thread yet? 5 "The views expressed here are mine and do not reflect the official opinion of my employer or the organization through which the Internet was accessed." DCarp1231
Not sure how much more “outside the box than the Commanders” you can get when said team has three distinctly different uniforms. Makes me think we’re getting • uniform with traditional Cardinal colors that says “CARDINALS” on the chest • uniform that is missing a main color and says “ARIZONA” on the chest • uniform that utilizes a brand new color with an “AZ” patch • uniform that is a militarygasm/fetish from head to toes that somehow ties into the Arizona deserts with an “AZ-PT42” patch or wordmark on the chest
raz
Maybe what's been called maroon and orange is actually maroon and copper, which always seems to be portrayed as burnt orange in fabrics.
