What did Hutchinson do to Aaron Rodgers?

It's a play on words. After Favre was traded, a popular shirt stated "We'll never forget you, Brent"

For those who thought the Packers were selling from a short perspective, this seems like a great deal.

Time to move on.

Finally.  Lousy son of a :censored: is out of the division and the conference and I have a couple games each year where I don't have to watch my team get punched in the sack.

They'll get a HoFer at QB before long, whether it's Love or whoever, they'll not suffer for more than a year, if that.

It really feels inevitable doesn't it?  I'm old enough to remember when the Packers stunk in the 1980s but them entering every season as a contender just feels like something that's always going to be the case.  I'd expect Love to lead the Packers at least to the playoffs this year and them being a contender every year soon thereafter. But I'm speaking from an burnt-out, jaded perspective.

Disclaimer: If this comment is about an NBA uniform from 2017-2018 or later, do not constitute a lack of acknowledgement of the corporate logo to mean anything other than "the corporate logo is terrible and makes the uniform significantly worse."

I still have my “We’ll never forget you, Brent.” Shirt from Sconnie Nation.  My best friend also has his “We’ll never forget you, Craig Gennings.” T shirt.

It’s kind of a Packers thing.

Overall, that feels like a solid deal for both sides. Jets got him for essentially a second rounder (pick swap is pretty minimal), and the Packers got more than expected for a guy they were gonna just lose anyway.

Hard thing for Green Bay is the money they’re still on the hook for. That bumps this to a win for the Jets in my book.

Is it "We'll never forget you, Karron" for Rodgers?

I like that better than anything I've seen so far.

Plus a 2 or 1 next year. If he doesn't take 65% of their snaps, it's a 2. Otherwise a 1.

That sounds like a perfectly reasonable trade to me. I honestly expected the entire thing to fall apart at the last minute and for this to drag out in a miserable way.

Same. Even his exit from GB was better than Favre's.

I echo the sentiments of the other Packer fans above. It was an incredible ride, no doubt, but all parties were ready to move on. Bring on the Summer of Love in Titletown 💚💛☮️🕊️

Remind me - was Jordan Love a "franchise" type guy when he was drafted?  I know that franchise QBs have come from all rounds, but after 1, they're kinda more like the teams getting lucky rather than choosing a should-be can't-miss dude.

On the surface, while they didn't have a choice here, it seems foolish to put all their eggs in Love's sack.  If the opportunity arises, maybe trading up wouldn't be the worst thing ever.

Nah. Love was a projected mid-2nd rounder. The Packers jumped on him because they really liked what they saw. They also probably didn't trust Rodgers to keep his head on straight. (They were right.)

I kinda feel like if the Packers get out of Love similar to what the Niners got out of Jimmy G, they’ll be lucky. I don’t really get what they see in him, but ok I guess 🤷‍♂️

Love has a lot of pressure on him, especially when his QB's in his class are these guys:

The NFC has the 9th home game next year. The NFC North team will host an AFC East team who they finish in the same place as, in 2024. What are the chances the Jets and Packers finish in the same place?

I think the Jets get 2nd place at worst this season. With Rodgers I think they win the division. The Packers aren't likely to be in first.
