BBTV
Forgive me if my math is wrong, but are the marlins only playing 161 games this year? If so, how? I thought MLB was bending over backwards to ensure everyone played 162, especially if potential playoff seeding was at stake. Pharos04
I don’t have any words at this time. Wakefield was one of my favorite pitchers to watch due to that crazy knuckleball. this one hurts…

Miami's game with the Mets on Thursday got suspended in the Top of the 9th with the Marlins up 2-1. This game would be finished on Monday only if it was needed to settle playoff position... well, the Marlins are in. If Arizona wins and Miami loses today, then the suspended game is finished up tomorrow to determine the 5th and 6th seeds. If Arizona loses or Miami wins, the suspended game isn't played and under rule 7.02 (b)(4)(A), the game then is considered complete and it reverts back to the last finished inning (the 8th) with the Mets up 1-0.
Discrim
Considering I wasn't expecting much this year, this was a good showing for the Cubs. Would've liked em to make it to October but it looks like the rebuild's a bit ahead of schedule. Congrats to the Orioles for suddenly becoming good again, and to the Yankees for avoiding becoming the best last place team of all time. FiddySicks
I’m not really for robot umps, but this kinda stupid :censored: makes me want to reconsider. Joey Votto ejected for arguing balls and strikes (he was right) in his final game. Quote On 11/19/2012 at 7:23 PM, oldschoolvikings said: She’s still half convinced “Chris Creamer” is a porn site.) Wake was THE Red Sox guy just because of how long he was there, as a real bridge between the late era of the sad Sox and the World Series victories. I mean, he was there in three different decades! All the way back to my childhood when these things really imprint on your sports-fan mind. And it's absolutely devastating that he has two teens and a wife who also has cancer. And so quick, too -- how do you go from perfectly healthy to dead at age 57 in a matter of weeks? Brain cancer is terrifying, ugh.

FiddySicks
Yeah pretty weak field this year. I think the Astros are probably gonna walk to another title. Seriously, I happened to be going back to last year’s MLB thread looking for something else and it’s the same old stuff even then. Honest question - why do you watch sports? Literally everything from NBA, NHL, MLB, and NFL annoys you - whether it’s which teams are good, which ones make it to the finals, etc. Im violating my own advice here by feeding the troll, but I mean come on. Maybe give HGTV or NatGeo a chance instead of sports. 5 2 Quote "The views expressed here are mine and do not reflect the official opinion of my employer or the organization through which the Internet was accessed." Sport
Reds Report Rap-up - Fun team. Way more fun than expected. - 82-80 so a winning record. - Could've made the playoffs with a pitcher here or another bat there, but they lost 100 games a year ago. Hard to complain about a 20 game improvement in one season. - The core is here and the prospect tree is starting to bear fruit. - Lots of things to be excited. Lots of room for improvement. - Need another starting pitcher and need their big arms to stay healthy. - I will miss Joey Votto, who got ejected in the first inning of what is probably his last career game for arguing balls and strikes. That's kind of funny, kind of sad.

He's definitely one of those guys who you wish played on your team because he's likeable (and good). Hi ejection reminded me of Steve Tasker getting kicked out of his last NFL game for a foul committed on special teams. Odd way to go. 1 Quote It's where I sit. tBBP
Twins Report Wrap-Up HOW Y'ALL GON WAIT TIL AFTER I MOVE OUT OF SOUTH DAKOTA TO WIN A DANG DIVISON TITLE? Y'all been the Minnesota Twash the whole time I paid attention to y'all up there; now all of a sudden y'all wanna go and get back good again once I leave. If that ain't about some bullish... On the other hand, however... Orioles Report Wrap-Up HOLY JEEZ THE BIRDS ARE IN THE PLAYOFFS! Ain't gonna front; I did not see this coming. I'm just glad I finally got to go take in the experience at OP@CY earlier this year. (Of course they lost to the dang-freaking Pirates the day I went, but still...) Without having seen whatever the Giants call their park yet, I still maintain the new Camden Yards is one of the two or three best parks in the bigs. Of course nothing's knocking PNC off that stead—yet—but new Camden is something special thanks to its simplicity and utility which to me maximized the fan interaction/experience.
