This may go down as the worst looking game in NFL History

Wrong Jags game.

THIS is the Jags game you meant to cue:

here’s my nomination for worst looking game of all time… lions grey jerseys should never be worn in general, but if they are,  it should be matched up against a dark jersey… they’re too light to be a home color. It’s like the Seahawks wearing grey against a team in white. Lions raiders this year would top this, but the blue helmets might add some contrast, the shade of grey is a little darker I think, and who knows the raiders might wear black + the lighting in ford field is a little different. That’s also why I picked this game over lions dolphins from last year.

That Titans-Jaguars game was described by my father as toothpaste versus ear wax

Also, that series of photos on this page is really hard to look at. Unfathomable how that Cleveland-Denver matchup happened, not to mention it's just as unfathomable that Cleveland even has that uniform now without stripes and literally looks like tootsie rolls running around.

You would think a league with the resources the NFL has would have some types of layers within its leadership that had to deal with visual integrity of uniforms as part of its greater brand perception. Maybe the NFL does, but just has the wrong minds involved. Either way, we're in by far the worst era for the league from an aesthetic standpoint and I hope the pendulum swings back in the right direction.

You could NBA Summer League style more than half of today's terrible NFL uniforms and improve all the game looks right away.

Not 100% this direction as we still got decent "traditional" versions around in GB, Pitt, SF, Indy, CHI, etc....but some of the dreaded attempts at looking artistic, fierce, daring, or radical should never be allowed in the Penultimate of team pro sports!

I would love to finally see something different for this matchup, but I would be quite shocked if both teams wore an alternate.

Yeah you're probably right, the Cowboys will probably wear their regular white (home? road? I don't know its official designation) jersey. I still predict the Niners wear their alts in that game though -- their first red alt game the last two seasons has been an early season primetime game

I don't think the Den Ari matchup is so bad, but your other example is pretty rough:

So many folks have listed other examples that are in the (especially awfully) mono vs mono category ...I'll nominate this mess of Ari vs Phi (with min red or green) from 2022:

This is true. I think we definitely see them either Week 3 on Thursday night vs. the Giants or for this Dallas game.

This has happened to Denver twice now (the league decides if a road team can wear a "contrasting" jersey, not the Broncos), which to me just makes the case that the Broncos never need to wear white under pretty much any circumstance. Navy and orange is all they technically need. Of course, this sort of thing would happen regularly then.
