If Brandon Staley isn't fired by tomorrow morning they should just delete the franchise.

It won't matter either way. If Staley does get fired (which is still a huge if) Dean will just find another obscure yes-man who's willing to work for cheap. And regardless of who the coach is, the roster will never be good enough to win when Dean's unqualified son is the one making all those decisions and the GM is just a puppet.

They've blamed executives, coaches, players, and even the city of San Diego, but the problem is and has always been in the owner's box.

Easton Stick. Sounds like a baseball bat.

When I was a mediocre high school hockey player in the mid 2000's the Easton Synergy with the Sakic curve was the coolest stick you could have.

What's your favorite Brandon Staley moment? Blowing a 27-0 lead to the Jaguars in the playoffs is good, but it lacks that one dumb guy pretending to be a smart guy move that became his signature. Mine's when the Raiders seemed content to run out the clock for the tie and they both would've made the playoffs, but Staley called a timeout so the Raiders said "Alright fine" and then got 15 yards on a draw and won on a field goal.

Yes. That was when nearly the whole country was rooting for a tie just to keep the Steelers out of the playoffs. Probably one of those sports moments where all fans, rivals or not, united for one cause. Shame on Staley for spoiling that.

It would've given Ben Roethlisberger an off-screen death, which is what he deserved, but getting his head kicked in in his last game was good too.

I wanted the tie for that reason, but mostly because it was such an unlikely outcome and the whole prisoner's dilemma thing was discussed all week that it would've been a fun historical curio. Whenever they do playoff scenario discussions there's always the scenario like "Team X will make it if Team A wins unless Teams B and C tie" and in the back of everyone's minds we always go "psh they're not gonna tie", but in this case it came so close to happening! It would've been cool for a game to end with both teams celebrating.

There was also the aspect where the Chargers kept doing things to keep the tie alive to begin with. They were down 15 points late in the 4th quarter. Get one touchdown - get a stop - convert countless 4th downs including (if I'm not mistaken) a 4th down to score the second touchdown as regulation expired, and then converting the 2PC after that, then both teams trading field goals in OT (Chargers again converting at least one 4th down in the process, IIRC), before culminating the way it did...like, that game could've ended earlier if the Raiders made any number of 4th down stops previously, including some 4th-and-very-longs, and they couldn't do it. It was patently absurd.

Right. Both teams were actually trying to win and the tie still almost happened naturally rather than in some weird gentleman's agreement. But I do believe in all the craziness at the end of OT that the Raiders had had enough and were about to make the safe play that guarantees their playoff spot and run the clock out, but Staley, like a bozo, gave them more time to consider their options.

Why do they sound like Madden created players?

Easton Stick, JoJo Wooden, Brick, are you just looking at things in the office and saying that they're Chargers?
