I seem to recall a French player diving in the box and being rewarded with a penalty kick earlier in the game. Not to mention the brilliant move by Zidane to headbutt a guy.Yeah, France is much more deserving of the World Cup than Italy......You want to know why Italy won? They didn't give up a conventional goal. One was an own goal, and one was a penalty kick. This isn't a result of diving. Quit your whining.So what's the significance of that chair the Italians were sitting on in the middle of the field? And why are they stripping to their underwear? It was the other teams (by which I mean, not just France, but all the teams in the world cup) that were trying to get Italy to cheat and/or to make them or France dive. So to you I say... Look, this is the first year I've watched the world cup, I only saw a few games, but i made sure towatch this final one because when the US lost I wanted Italy to win because I'm Italian.
