beesharps
Ken King, CEO of the Flames, just said on the Fan 960 that the shoulder flags will be there for this season at least, and then they'll evaluate them......sounds like he's already hearing plenty of negative feedback on them. As he should.

eww7633
I honestly think there is one positive to this new design...Most teams are adding striping back to their pants, which I think is great. It's a very under-used area for design.

M4One
As a Canuck fan who hates the Flames, I got to say I actually liked their last set, especially the red jerseys. These new ones are awful. I know its all about a money grab, but I can't believe how some teams don't realize how ugly their new jerseys look, and how it could all backfire. Instead of more people buying these, there could be less, especially since they raised the prices.
MVP
Would've loved to have seen the Habs used the lace collar, but still beautiful nonetheless! The Flames... the patches are just awful... without them, the red one isn't all that bad, especially when its on a player (Phaneuf), better than the white. eSabre
I saw the Sabres Rbk Edge replicas today. Design is the same as last year. NHL crest at the bottom of the collar. One thing I'm disgusted with is on the white jerseys, the front crest doesn't have a silver border. It's on navy twill. Looks stupid. Otherwise, I think they're going to look even better compared to the other teams with the new Edge jerseys.
Sabrejeff
Why couldn't Calgary do with their province flag what Phoenix did with their state flag?Because Tucson doesn't have a team...You're not very good at analogies, are you?Now that I see the full uniform, I actually think the Flames look pretty. Besides the shoulder patches of course.

canefan2k1
'Canes will officially unveil on Thursday per the N&O blog, and they will wear the 10th anniversary patch on the jersey this year. If EA was correct in their screenshots, the only change should be the white piping around the shoulder (red piping on the road jersey) and the patch.http://blogs.newsobserver.com/canes/index....p;tb=1&pb=1Tuesday, September 4, 2007New uniforms unveiled ThursdayThe Hurricanes will unveil their new Rbk uniforms at a press conference Thursday afternoon at the RBC Center. chrimart
I'm surprised that Montreal used the NHL shield rather than the LNH shield.100% agreed with this.As the Montreal Alouettes which are wearing LCF as logo, The Habs should have LNH as a shield. Milo Meningocele
Could the Flames get it any more wrong?1. The black is still stupid.2. The lace-up doesn't work for such a young franchise.3. The road sock stripes look like a German flag.4. The Canada flag is forced any which way you slice it.5. The Alberta flag would've been cool if they stylized it some, and they were its only team.6. Who in blue hell thought it was okay to end the piping where they did?!?
CityOfWalrus
2. The lace-up doesn't work for such a young franchise.where in the world is it written that a team can't have a lace-up collar until they hit a age? whats the level? 40years? 50years? 100years? why does a franchise have to have be a certain age before they can adopt a uniform style? Sabrejeff
2. The lace-up doesn't work for such a young franchise.I hate when some people say it like this! Who cares about the franchise's age! As far as I'm concerned, an expansion team can use a lace-up collar as long as they work it in with the whole jersey's styling.

Is this year some sort of special anniversary in Calgary/Alberta?
