Billy B
Orioles- I really like the new uniforms. The orange piping on the jerseys and pants looks great. The road jerseys should look even better.Cubs- I used to like the road hat better than the home, but seeing the all blue cap on the road, I think I prefer this look. VandyDelphia Mike
Back when the Twins wore these did the batting helmets match the caps? For yesterdays game they used the blue batting helmet with the TC. The base coaches wore the helmets with the white front.I believe these were always paired with the helmet with a blue crown, white front panel and red brim (like Joe Mauer wears when he is catching). tommytimp
Did anyone see a pic of Aramis Ramirez last night? He wore the blue alt jersey with a bad logo. It was odd. TFoA
Here's the Twins one in action:Honestly, I'd like it more if they wore the hats that the base coaches were wearing.
JH42XCC
I know these are both fashion jerseys, but could anyone see the Mets going with one of these options as an alt jersey of some kind:I prefer the orange one over the black one.
TalktoChuck
The orange one doesn't look too bad. I wouldn't mind seeing them wear that on the field.

Still MIGHTY
I'm really not a fan of the Angels' new patchesI like the fact that they are commemorating Preston Gomez with a patch. I'm just not a fan of the black diamond with the name. A black band with the name or something else. The diamond shape just isn't doing it for me. I know its baseball and played on a diamond but, meh.I also hate the new left sleeve logo. Its just another ball and circle logo. The Halos' jerseys were just fine without the patch. They were marvelous without them. To me the patch just looks unnecessary and out of place. Not a fan of the lame ball in circle logo. It's bland. It doesn't add anything constructive to the jersey.Plus I'm not a fan of having two sleeve patches. We went from none and perfect to two and clunky.Keep the commerative patch for the season.Get rid of the ball and circle logo. It doesn't belong. | ANA | LAA | LAR | LAL | ASU | CSULB | USMNT | USWNT | LAFC | OCSC | MAN UTD |
FiddySicks
I noticed that. That actually put my hopes up of them finally ditching that ugly road hat. I wish they would go back to using the green and yellow hat full time.Hope not, I love the green hats. Maybe just a mistake or something.I went to the game tonight and it was the same as last night, home helmets, but with the road caps. M59
I don't think we can give the Twins credit for anything regarding a move away from the pullover era. In 1987, the year of the Twins change, FOUR other teams made the switch as well: Braves, Mariners, A's and White Sox. (That year the Astros also eliminated the rainbow front jerseys, and the Pirates the pillbox hat.) Several teams had already changed earlier in the '80s, i.e. Indians, Padres, Cleveland, Texas, KC, Giants, etc.Do you know who should really get credit for ushering the return to tradition? The Red Sox. In 1979, at the height of pullovers, colored jerseys and stripes, the Sox went back to the '30s for belts, buttons and a road uni that made Penn State look like University of Oregon. Within a few years everyone followed suit.In the "credit where credit is due" department, let's not forget that the Orioles NEVER wore a pullover home white or road grey jersey. Yes, they did go sans-a-belt with their pants, and yes, the original orange alternate jersey was a pullover, but the home and road jerseys always had buttons. patsox
Those Angels patches are one of the most half-assed attempts I've seen in baseball in a long time. All they did was throw the cap logo over what looks like some sort of generic "baseball logo template". It only diminishes the "A" brand IMO. epper
love love love what the Orioles have done with their set. Loved them before, but the changes have probably put them in my Top 3 favourite in the majors now, with the A's and Dodgers.
SmoothieX
I've wanted the Mets to have a orange alternate for so long.I hear you man, I'd love 'em too! I like the one here better than the retina searing BP jerseys from a few years back.My thoughts so far...- Don't like the Twins throwbacks. The script and numbering look really chunky. Cool hat though.- I miss the Cubs road hat, I always thought it brought out some color in an otherwise plain gray uni.- New Orioles set looks great! Can't wait to see the roads.- The Braves sure wear those blue jerseys a lot. I can't stand them. Never was a fan of color on same color. I miss the old hats already.- Washington looks like a train wreck.- I'm not looking forward to Boston's new roads. They looked dreadfully dull at the unveiling press conference. patsox
The problem with the Mets introducing an orange alternate is that orange seems to be their third color right now, behind blue and black.
Burning River
The new Rangers alternate jerseys in action:I like these a lot. They're sharp. A little LAA though.I liked the Rangers in red when they wore it a few years back. Now that the Angels use red... I would prefer if the Rangers stayed in blue.
