Still MIGHTY
Ducks trade Drew Miller and 2010 3rd Round picktoLightning for Evgeny ArtyukhinI liked Miller and I'll miss him (more off the ice than on it) but he wasn't really fitting in with the Ducks' mold at this point in his career. Great guy though. As for Artyukhin, I like what I see so far. Really big. Really fast. Really physical. A bit lacking on the skill, but that's all right. I like a line flanked by Artyukhin and George Parros. | ANA | LAA | LAR | LAL | ASU | CSULB | USMNT | USWNT | LAFC | OCSC | MAN UTD |

oddball
Gee, and I thought the goon attitude had left Anaheim with Burke. I guess not. A line of George Parros (quite possibly the most over-hyped player in the NHL... or at least Anaheim, heck this moron, and yes I realize he went to Princeton, gets more air time than future Hall of Famer Teemu Selanne) and now he has a Russian version of himself? Brilliant. I can now see the worst plus/minus in the history of the NHL as neither player really can do anything and they'll just skate around like two idiots looking for fights. I guess we might get to see that when Toronto comes to town, that is if either of them is still on the team by then. I'm waiting for the day when the Ducks actually wake up to see the nothingness that George Parros really is.
The_Admiral
You never know what you're gonna get with an oddball post. It's like playing darts with a blindfold on. After being spun. Possibly while naked. But you're right. Parros is a schmuck. Guy parlayed unusual facial hair into this mirage that he's anything but an outmoded enforcer who's too aimlessly goony for even the Anaheim Ducks to dress every night. ♫ oh yeah, board goes on, long after the thrill of postin' is gone ♫
Still MIGHTY
Parros actually has worked on his skating and stick skills in the past few seasons. Last season he even had 5 goals, including one beautiful breakaway goal in Toronto, and 5 assists for 10 points. He was only 29th overall in the league with penalty minutes with 135 (10 more minutes than Steve Montador had and Monty only played 65 games for the Ducks) and actually ended up with a +8 rating overall last season (4th highest of players that finished the season with the Ducks). And George actually played in 74 games in the regular season last year and in 7 of the 13 playoff games last year. I wouldn't peg those stats as someone, in your words admiral, "who's too aimlessly goony for even the Anaheim Ducks to dress every night."He may not be the best skater or the most skilled or hell even the best at fighting, but he does bring something to the ice. He has gotten a lot better and even got a lot of praise for his improvements from Randy Carlyle. And plus he is great off the ice and great in the locker room. Poke fun all you want, but George Parros is a big part of the Ducks overall make-up. | ANA | LAA | LAR | LAL | ASU | CSULB | USMNT | USWNT | LAFC | OCSC | MAN UTD |
oddball
Let's be honest here. If you take the mustache away from George Parros, he's just another goon. The only reason the Ducks keep him on the team is because he's marketable with the fans. If he was as good as you say he is, then he wouldn't have been waived by the Kings when they were bad and would've have been traded by the Avalanche. He's only stuck with the Ducks, because they can market him. What makes him a better player than the likes of Brad May or Todd Fedoruk, or any other goon? Oh yeah, the mustache. I've give him credit, he's figured a way to stay in the league. At least we know his Princeton education is being put to good use coming up with something this brilliant to stay in the league. Some players are late bloomers, and he is a perfect example of it. He found a way to play that was beneficial to a team, unfortunately he did not know this when he was with the Kings and Avs. Because Korbyn Is Colour Blind, My Signature Is Now Idiot Proof - Thanks Again Braden!!Go Leafs Go! Brian Burke sticks to "the best offense is a good defense" routine.Dont expect Burke to make any big moves for the offensive. He was focusing on their Defense which was a need off an upgrade. They will probably keep alot of their forwards maybe bring up some young guys, so it will be a tough D-line with a young F-line. Remember its baby steps as well, it cannot all be done in one off-season, got to work on certain areas at a time, and if everything goes right and they go in the right direction you will see them work on their offense next off-season. oddball
So Marleau has had his "C" stripped off his chest and the "A" has been taken off the chest of Joe Thorton, and the Sharks are having open auditions for their Captain and alternates. So who on that team is strong enough to take the "C" and the two "A's" and lead the Sharks to where talent wise, they belong?

You can only take so many first and second round playoff exits before changes need to be made.... On 4/10/2017 at 3:05 PM, Rollins Man said: what the hell is ccslc?
