Still MIGHTY

Recommended Posts

For reasons that may not be completely understood, DiPietro tries to fight Brent Johnson, 1 punch later, Ricky leaves the rink with an ice pack on his jaw, I cant stop laughing.

Well he had to do something to prove that Mike Milbury knows something about hockey, maybe he could try and win a fight and prove that he's tougher than tissue paper... well that theory went out the door. By they way, can someone explain to me why Mike Milbury is an analyst? All the teams he coached ended up worse than they began, and as a GM he has got to be the worst GM ever!!!

Darryl Boyce goes face first into the photographer's hole. Pictures have been posted, but they're too graphic. Let's just say he doesn't have much left of his right nostril. Even with all that, Ron Wilson says that Boyce feels "ready to go" and will play the next game. (wearing a cage of course)

Story B: Red Wings go undefeated and score 100 goals in every game. They also beat a team comprised of Godzilla, the ghost of Abraham Lincoln, 2 Power Rangers and Betty White. Oh, and they played in the middle of Iraq on a military base. In the sand. With no ice. Santa gave them special sand-skates that allowed them to play in shorts and t-shirts in 115 degree weather. Jesus, Zeus and Buddha watched from the sidelines and ate cotton candy.

A big win for the Blue Jackets last night in Detroit (some vintage Steve Mason magic right there :P), but it means nothing if they don't beat Edmonton tonight. Gotta get the 2 points and hopefully definitely pull within four five points of 8th.

EDIT: Looked at the schedule and making up a point is all that is possible.

In case anyone out there thought the Comcast/NBC Universal merger wouldn't end up being bad for television in general, well:

Versus has just announced that beginning with this Monday's game, Lucky Pierre McGuire will spew forth his inanities from between the benches for their telecasts. And starting Tuesday, Mike Milbury will bring his "Don Cherry For Dummies" schtick to national cable. No word yet on their efforts to make the Blackhawks' 2nd intermission "shoot the puck" competition an hour-long affair hosted by Guy Fieri.
