Gary
I've read a few things in the last few days, that if it's up to Mrs. Lee, he's staying in Arlington. From USA Today (which also mentions the Yankee fan jackassery)."That's the greatest thing, being so close to home," says Kristen, who says she is superstitious and refuses to answer her phone when Lee pitches."Cliff can fit in anywhere, but it makes my life a lot easier. We've never had a short commute before. Having a direct flight from Little Rock is great."I can see Atlanta, St. Louis, Houston or Texas in his future if staying close to home is his preference
NJTank
Lee's wife harassed during ALCS - During the AL Championship Series games in New York between the Yankees and Rangers, fans were extremely rude to Kristen Lee, spitting and throwing beer in her direction and shouting obscenities. This could possibly kill any chance of Cliff Lee ever wearing pinstripes. What is it with Yankee fans? Their classless attitudes straight-up suck!If they dont sign Lee the Yankees should blame their fans. FiddySicks
AT&T Park has very deep dimensions, though, and what would be home runs at The Ballpark at Arlington would only be doubles at AT&T Park. Combined with the Giants' pitching and the fact they have home-field, it might take away a lot of the Rangers' offensive power. As well as the fact they might not have Vladdy for the first two games, unless they're planning to take someone else out in place of him.Actually, comparing the two parks, the only place in San Francisco that's deeper than Texas is right-center (ballparks.com).It may not be the deepest park in the bigs, but combine the odd dimensions with the thick atmosphere and you basically have an anti Coors Field. And with the way the weather has been the past few days, I wouldn't be surprised to see some fog. San Francisco is at sea level; Dallas is about 600 feet above. It's that wet, heavy sea-level air that aids pitchers more than dimensions. Great job guys.Yeah, but has anybody ever turned down the Yankees when offered top dollar? I guess we'll see....I'm sure it's happened many times. There are some players, such as Grienke, that have stated they don't feel comfortable playing in large markets and would intentionally stay with a small market franchise, no matter how much money they might be offered. You can't control 50,000 people and what they're going to do," Lee said Tuesday, the day before pitching Game 1 of the World Series for Texas. "There were some people that were spitting off the balcony on the family section and things like that, and that's kind of weak, but what can you do?"Lee said what happened last week wouldn't have any impact on his offseason decision."No, I don't know the guy that did it. It could be anyone. Who knows? Who cares?," Lee said. "They're at home right now."Lee's agent, Darek Braunecker, told ESPNNewYork.com that Lee's wife still likes New York."The story is not an issue to us," he said. "Her experience in New York is certainly a non-issue. She enjoys New York as much as anyone enjoys New York."

Really, you Yankee fans need to stop acting like you have a right to the best players in baseball.Lee isn't going to the Bronx. Exactly what Ice said, he wants the big contact, do by keeping the Yankees in the running, he will receive bigger offers from other teams. However, IF Lee were to sign with the Yankees after all this, I would lose all respect for him. It's obvious that his wife was hurt by what happened. I'll tell you this, if someone spit and harassed my significant other, there's NO WAY I would subject her to that environment again. In the end, I'm confident that Lee will make the right call for his family, even if it meant leaving a couple million on the table.
Cujo
The Rangers take an early one-run lead, which should be more than enough run support for Cliff "THE MAN" Lee.Texas leads series 1-0.
