MLB Logo&Uniform changes

I got an e-mail from the Brewers today encouraging fans to buy the new gold alternate that they're going to wear this Saturday vs. the Phillies. I guess they turned the Cerveceros gold jersey into a regular version:

They must have had this planned. Looks like the Cerveceros jersey was a toe in the water.

As I said before, I don't like gold in this medium. It doesn't look gold if it isn't shiny. The Brewers have glittery gold on the wordmark, numbers and piping of the other jerseys, whereas this jersey just looks tan.

Looks like the Padres Roads from last year, but I like it.

Hopefully they stick with it for a year or two.

DBacks's 2001 "Throwbacks"

those should still be their jerseys....the red and black was and still is a major downgrade

^ Agreed. When I think of the Diamondbacks I think of the teal, purple, black, gold days. They were a bit schizophrenic, but they were uniquely Arizona.

IMO the switch to black and red was an enormous upgrade. And I'm not saying that because there was anything particularly wrong with the teal and purple set, I actually really liked that look. But their new gear is flat out awesome. It's in my personal top 3.

The black, red, and sand look is more fitting for a team in Arizona named after snakes then one in Houston named after the space program.

That being said, it is a shame that they ditched a perfectly fine set that's associated with a World Series victory.

Actually, the D-back current set is one of the worst. Not only did they go away from unique colors, but the set is over-designed. While the previous set had the Arizona with the fangs subtly on both the first and second A and the diamond back pattern on the A with the forked tongue was nice. I wasn't a fan of the D-snake cap, but it was still good. The front wordmarks both just look forced and something you'd see from a beginning designer who found the font on dafonts.com.

That jersey isn't new to Lyle Overbay.

But I have to go with their current set being better.

Don't take it out on them that the Rockies should be wearing more Purple and the Marlins should be wearing more Teal.

The White Sox and Diamondbacks in some different threads tonight. We know why the D-Backs are wearing throwbacks, but what's w/ the Sox in green?:

Also, the Brewers wore their seldom used ball in glove getup....with which they lost in.

The White Sox in green is part of their annual halfway to St. Patrick's Day promotion.

That's ACTUALLY retarded. Not an over exaggeration. That's literally mentally disabled.
