NEW.ERA
Well the Calgary Vipers need a player to inject some life to the withered fan base that hasn't cared about the game since the Cannons skipped town. pmoehrin
Milton Bradley was designated for assignment today by the Mariners. Is his career finally over?.205 last year, .218 this year. Making $12 million this year as well, so for you to get cut making that kind of money, your not even good enough to be on the 25-man roster, let alone start. The only good news for the Mariners was that it was the final year of his contract.Independent League is somewhat likely for him, but he's got so many head problems with that batting average for another big league team to take a chance on him would be a miracle. FiddySicks
Can Cody Ross play for the Sharks? That guy is clutch!I used to think it was impossible to win a title when your team has to grind it out every single night, but then last season happened. The Giants are turning this into an art form. Brass
John Lackey continues to suck horribly. Probably some of the worst pitching I've ever seen. Ever. I really hope he recovers, or hell, designate him for assignment (if you can) and see where you can go from there.EDIT: I actually just read that Lackey's battling some off-field issues. Wife was diagnosed with cancer recently. Going to have to give him a break, then. On 4/10/2017 at 3:05 PM, Rollins Man said: what the hell is ccslc? mania
I swear, the Rangers have been the unluckiest team in baseball all year. Get out to a 7-0 lead, game one half inning away from qualifying, and BOOM Rain Delay that the Umpiring Crew calls. Mitch Moreland gets boned out of his first career grand slam.Between half the team being on the DL, like this... this year is as frustrating as any year I can remember being a Rangers fan. If the team was bad, that would be one thing, but they're just so... :censored:ing cursed. Off The Top Rope: A Pro Wrestling Podcast

infrared41
Kendrys Morales...out for the year. Don't ever f'n jump on home plate, kids.Thank god Trumbo's been solid.I am now going to give myself credit for calling this a while back...Los Angeles Angels slugger Kendrys Morales' comeback from a fractured left ankle has entered an indefinite holding pattern. Not good news for Angels fans. This was just a matter of time. I was watching a Spring Training game a week or so ago. You could tell just by the way the Angels announcers were talking about him that his rehab wasn't going anywhere near as well as they hoped. I'm betting he's out for the year. All-Star break at best.
pmoehrin
Jesus. It's sounding more like they are working towards trying to save his foot rather then continue his MLB career. Really a shame what's happened to him. He looked every bit like a future all-star first basemen. Who knows if he'll ever get back to that level. I'd imagine at the very least he's going to be limited to being just a DH. You never completely get over an injury that serious.

Oakland was going back to California after the game for a "home day off". ARTICLE V?Scheduling C. Additional Scheduling Agreements (7) No Club shall be scheduled to play a game starting after 5 P.M. if such game is a road game and is followed by a home off-day, unless:(a) a later game is required to be scheduled pursuant to a national television agreement; or( the road Club is playing at Texas or Florida on or after June 1.In addition, the Players Association shall grant one additional exception only to a Club that is limited by its stadium lease agreementor a governmental regulation, in the number of day games it may play, and only after the Club has applied for and has been denied a waiverby its lessor or the local governmental authority. Other getaway games shall not be scheduled or rescheduled to start later than 5 P.M. if either Club is required to travel for a day game, scheduled the next day, between cities in which the in-flight time is more than 11/2 hours. In each season, the championship seasonschedule may contain six exceptions to the rule in the immediately preceding sentence provided that the traveling Club is traveling toChicago to play the Cubs and the in-flight time does not exceed 21/2 hours. If Oakland was going to remain on the road with an off day on Thursday to say, CLE or KC, then the umpires would have more leeway into waiting call the game.
