Favorite Sports Movies

I'm sure this thread has been on here before, but I'm still kinda new and didn't see it. Anyways, What's some of ya'lls favorite sports movies, and do you own them?

For example: I tend to like football movies better, so I have a good many of them. Wildcats, Varsity Blues, Friday Night Lights, All the Right Moves & Rudy are in my collection.

Baseball I like Field of Dreams the best

Hockey I like Slap Shot (1 & 2) and Miracle.

The problem is that the selection is kind of small so everybody's pretty much going to have the same answers, but here's mine anyway:

1. Major League

2. Miracle

3. Rudy

4. Remember the Titans

Only about 100 times, but it's always a fun topic so here are mine...

In no particular order:

Bull Durham

North Dallas Forty

Miracle

Slap Shot

Field of Dreams

The Sandlot

The Rookie

Hoop Dreams

A League of Their Own

Brian's Song (the 70's version, not that piece of garbage remake)

Hoosiers

My non football sports movies are Miracle, Mystery Alaska, The Sandlot, Rookie of the Year, Stick It, Grind, Space Jam and my favorite of this bunch, Happy Gilmore.

I'm not going to list a favorite order, I'll just list what I have, since if I own it, then I obviously like it.

- The Longest Yard (2005)

- The Blind Side

- Any Given Sunday

- Friday Night Lights

- Rudy

- Gridiron Gang

- The Waterboy

- The Replacements

- Varsity Blues

- Remember The Titans

- The Game Plan

- Little Giants

- Leatherheads

"Quack... quack... quack... quack... quack..."

I'm not even a hockey fan and I liked the Mighty Ducks.

Slapshot by a country mile is my favorite sports movie. Then Miracle and Remember the Titans. The Sandlot is great too.

Football: Necessary Roughness

Golf: Tin Cup

Gymnastics: A State of Mind

Boxing: The Fighter (but this probably the hardest to choose -- there are so many great boxing movies).

Basketball--Celtic Pride*

Hockey--Mighty Ducks I and II

Golf--Happy Gilmore

Bowling--Kingpin**

And not just because it's the only place where the Utah Jazz are world champions, so far. :P

Bowling is a sport, as far as I'm concerned. ;)

For Love of the Game has always been a favorite of mine. Loved the whole non-linear narrative and the balance between the game and Billy's memories. Great story.

Eight Men Out, Pride of the Yankees, and 61* are other baseball movies I love. As far as football goes, I really like Leatherheads and Remember the Titans. Miracle is hands down my favorite hockey movie, and for basketball (*prepares to duck and run*)....I've always had a soft spot for Space Jam. Hey, I'm a 90's kid! I had to have a purely nostalgic pick in there somewhere :PCeltic Pride is another one I like....probably because it features the only championship the Jazz will ever win. :P

EDIT: I see my fellow Utahn DustDevil and I shared the same line of thinking regarding Celtic Pride! :P

The opinions I express are mine, and mine only. If I am to express them, it is not to say you or anyone else is wrong, and certainly not to say that I am right.

The Junction Boys. Haven't seen it in years, but it's great, and absolutely makes me cringe with thoughts of two-a-days back in high school.
