This is a bit unsettling so far, but in a few hours time we will get the whole look.

That's neon green around the numbers and on the shoulder, at least.

Neon green outlines the numbers on every jersey.

When I messed with levels and contrast and such, it appeared that there's an area of the neon on the shoulder, as well, though it looks less green in the altered photo in this thread.

They aren't close to the whackiness that is the Ducks. I am not sure why they are making that comparison.

No, but when you reference Oregon the first thing that pops in my head is radical. When I think of the NFL I think of teams that have that "traditional" look. The Bears, Packers, Redskins, Cowboys, Vikings, 49ers, Browns, Steelers, Dolphins, Colts, Chiefs, and Raiders have gone virtually unchanged throughout the decades. The Bills, Jets, Giants, and Chargers have all gone through changes and have gone back to the "traditional" look. I feel like watching the Bears play the Seahwaks will be like watching the Bears play a bunch of clowns. I don't want to be too critical on their new look, because we haven't really seen much yet, I just don't have a good feeling about it.

I don't think it's anything too radical at all, I've seen them as I've mentioned previously. I think some tradtionalists might consider them radical, but in my opinion that is hyperbolic.

They are modern and very clean designs if you ask me.

I'm not really sure about that "pattern" down the middle either, could do without it imo. The white/gray area looks like an accent pattern around the armpits. Already I wish Nike would have gone back and modernized the Steve Largent era uniforms. The Broncos are going back to the era with theirs , minus the helmet, why not in Seattle. I'm not from the Seattle area so I'm not in touch with the identity of the city but do people like the bold colors on the grey/blue?? I know the colors mimic the area, water mountains weather. The Sounders use a similar color scheme and the Mariners use more of a teal than neon green. I just feel the Seahawks push the radical look.

According to the article on seahawks.com, the uniforms are "new age" and its "not going to be traditional or something that everyone is used to seeing". He also mentions the Oregon Ducks several times.

This is going to be interesting.

I think that is exactly what the tradionalists on here were fearing!!

Not to nitpick, but the only change the Broncos are making is going to their orange alternate jersey full time. Unless you know something the rest of us don't.

I think that description does fit in line with how I would describe Oregon's uniforms. They are definitely modern, but not too radical. The craziness that people associate with Oregon's uniforms are with the amount of combinations that they can and do wear. The uniforms themselves are pretty simple with the only major design elements being the wings on the shoulders.

Haha....I wish I knew any inside info. I just meant that they were going back to Orange as their primary home jersey. I'm not a Broncos fan in the least, but I do think they look better in Orange at home.

Darn, was hoping you knew something I didn't. I agree, very happy about the switch to orange. Now, if they would just scrap the navy blue for royal blue and get rid of the 90's side panels.

I can see your viewpoint, but when I compare the ducks to what the Seahawks. I think the Hawks are much more subdued, but I think it's because it's the NFL.

You may have hit the nail on the head when it comes to my opinion of the Ducks. In all honesty I like the Ducks look in College Football, but I feel the # of combinations would bring a circus to the NFL. I am actually pulling for the Seahawks to unveil something appeasing to my taste, I am looking for another team to follow after the incompetency of the Browns front office lately. Showtime, since you have seen them and claim they are modern but clean, I am excited to see what they came up with. I guess when I evaluate the Ducks version of "modern" I think of the uniforms worn in their opener this season or what they wore at the Rose Bowl. I seem to gravitate towards the more traditional looks, Ohio State Cleveland Browns and Oakland Raiders. Ohio State has added black as a small accent color but otherwise remain unchanged. The Raiders have stayed very simple, and the Browns just need to ditch the gray facemask for the white.

The helmet thing I might be able to adjust to but the weird shoulder pattern looks very discouraging.

Is that the w...i...d...e stripe pattern from the Georgia Pro Combat helmet last year?

If so, very bad.

It's a plethora of of small "winglike shapes" spread out forming a pattern on the helmet. It's why I never called them feathers, but a design element.

Interesting.

So far, still looks very bad though.

This probably isn't worth anything, but I was just at CenturyLink Field yesterday morning and there wasn't even a single hint that there was going to be any change whatsoever. The employees in the Pro Shop had no idea there was going to be a change either.

If what I'm seeing is correct, the new jerseys look a bit more radical than some are suggesting. I don't like the idea of a random white patch near the shoulders that somehow represents a wing. The helmet thing I can probably get used to, and it might even look really good, but random patches of color, as Nike has done in the past, are not a good look. Keep them for college practice uniforms or high school teams. I'm hoping what I'm seeing in that image is misleading because of the shading. We'll see tomorrow.

Seahawks safety Chris Maragos (one of my high school classmates-his mom taught my very first high school class) tweeted this:

#12thMan the new jersey's are legit and got to try it on a few weeks ago, tomorrow is a big day for our new look, let me know what you think

So, looks like it is gonna be tomorrow after all...
