Nordiks_19 178 Posted November 24, 2013 Good luck in the sales department. I haven't heard one person say something good about these. Who would dare to buy one, and wear it in public?I wouldn't be surprised if there was like... only 20 of those sold at the end of the season. And yet, 20 would be a huge achievement
wildwing64 1,692 Posted November 24, 2013 This could've been an OK-at-best uniform. The more I look at the front and back side-by-side, the more it's giving me a headache.

hockey week 989 Posted November 24, 2013 they look ok from the front...and then someone turns away from the camera and ruins it.
gbasalmon 3 Posted November 24, 2013 The only thing that may be a keeper from the whole entire third jersey package is the font. It might be an unconventional, unpopular opinion but I think they might deserve a place on the regular jerseys, which should be the same shade of blue as the Bills, or at the very least something a heck of lot less navy.
Sodboy13 5,541 Posted November 24, 2013 I didn't like them at the initial unveiling, and I don't like them now. I realize individual tastes vary, and vary widely. But nothing about these uniforms makes sense. They are ugly and without any sort of unified design aesthetic. I genuinely believe, without hyperbole, that these are among the worst uniforms ever to appear on an NHL rink.
Funky Bunky 162 Posted November 24, 2013 Per Ducks PR guy, we should see the Ducks' stadium series jersey sometime in early December.
habsfan1 3,757 Posted November 24, 2013 On the Sabres website, they uploaded a video where a designer talks about its creation process. The final quotes from the interview...Alternte uniforms are meant to be on the edge. And that's something that we clearly have done here. All these unique elements, it's something that we had a lot of fun with, and hopefully the fans will enjoy it as well.http://video.sabres.nhl.com/videocenter/console?catid=1018&id=493985〈=en&navid=DL|BUF|home
TFoA 54 Posted November 24, 2013 The moment (unfortunately) has arrivedWhoever's in charge of green-lighting this stuff in Buffalo is just completely dead set on not putting out something good-looking for the Sabres. It's basically like they said "Oh, you got your old logo back. That oughta be enough to keep em happy," while lamenting the fact that they couldn't put the Buffaslug on it.
Cosmic 6,398 Posted November 25, 2013 I like the name font and the wordmark on the pants. The captain/assistant patches on the shoulder I think are a push. Everything else is awful. Not only does it look bad, but it doesn't look like a Sabres jersey to me. 40+ years with no yellow jersey ever... maybe that means your team just shouldn't have a yellow jersey. The ESPN/Getty gallery is comical. The way the silver "sabre" goes onto the gray at the end of the sleeves is terribad.
jcjr81 1 Posted November 25, 2013 The way the silver "sabre" goes onto the gray at the end of the sleeves is terribad.I actually didn't notice that until you pointed it out. That seems like it should be a basic design no-no.
nash61 1,691 Posted November 25, 2013 Doesn't look like a cape on the ice. Just solid navy all the way down.I don't know about that...Na na na na na na na na na STEVE OTT!

dbadefense1990 369 Posted November 25, 2013 Cue the overreaction memes. What is this; the college football thread? You people overreact to the smallest things...You guys do know that you're posting on a site for aesthetic and artistic nerds, do you? Any reaction is considered, "fair game," so give others some slack at the thought of seeing Buffalo's sweater and thinking that someone ran over their puppy.
hockey week 989 Posted November 25, 2013 they could be pinkSolid pink? Or just one side of it pink with the other side neon green? Because the solid pink doesn't sound all that bad after watching that game...
