Story B: Red Wings go undefeated and score 100 goals in every game. They also beat a team comprised of Godzilla, the ghost of Abraham Lincoln, 2 Power Rangers and Betty White. Oh, and they played in the middle of Iraq on a military base. In the sand. With no ice. Santa gave them special sand-skates that allowed them to play in shorts and t-shirts in 115 degree weather. Jesus, Zeus and Buddha watched from the sidelines and ate cotton candy.

The Caps switched their socks to match their home and road jerseys last season.

Heritage classic jersey will be:
*the inverse of the current O jersey with the predominant colour being the vintage white instead of black
*there will not be additional barber pole stripes
*the 'O' will be made of felt (that's something unexpectedapplaud.gif)
*a special winter classic patch will be given to those who buy the jersey, to be put on the chest. I've seen that logo on icethetics.info.
*the jersey will be available in November
*it may become a regularly used jersey the following season, but the O would not be made of felt if that were the case

So far, he's batting 1.000.

I fail to understand why Ottawa insists on using that lettering font with what's supposed to be a "vintage" look. Seeing such a modern, chunky, and frankly, cheap block font throws off the entire look.

For all the bird de lis haters I think the bird de lis isnt supposed to be a pelican and a fleur de lis I think its just a fleur de lis with a pelicans head. Thats what it looks like to me. Also the flair around the tip of the beak is just flair that fleur de lis have sometimes source I am from NOLA.

I need to have my eyes checked again. It really looked white to me until I read your comments.

Is the O logo in the black alt felt?

Orgo: Maybe it's my eyes, too. I'm not seeing vintage white, either. Please note: I'm not seeing full bright/ivory white, either. It almost looks like a slightly beige white, not the "vintage white" to which we have become accustomed. Is that possible? In no way does that look like the same "vintage white" that, say, my Ranger use:

Has a khaki quality to it. I mean -- just look at the heritage patch outline in white. The color of the jersey is certainly in the beige-khaki family, but it doesn't appear to be this:
