Chewbacca
I'll never understand the love for these uniforms. Between the color scheme, the logo, and the plain block fonts, it looks like a generic baseball team from a movie. Clearly inferior to the Germanic uniforms.True, but both of those are vastly superior to the awful current uniforms.I can only assume Goth is joking. The current Brewers uniforms are one of the best in MLB.I don't understand how people can hate the Brewers' throwback jersey. To me, it is a simple jersey that is pleasant on the eyes with a very nice color scheme that is ridiculously underused to the point it's a sports jersey crime, and a brilliant logo to boot. I don't get the mindset where the logo absolutely has to be based on the city and what's unique about it and it really annoys me when people say other people like older jerseys just cause of nostalgia. I wasn't alive when the Brewers wore this. I like it cause it has a great logo, great colors, and a very nice uniform altogether. The BiG logo is up there with the Hartford Whalers. Their current jerseys are really dull in my opinion and unfortunately, I have been finding that I've been thinking that way about quite a few teams in Major League Baseball as of late. I don't like the Brewers wordmark on their current jerseys at all and I have never liked their Navy Blue and Metallic Gold color scheme either. Am I the only one who finds their current wordmark to be really ugly? Proof that if something is old enough, it automatically becomes good. The current Brewers identity is spectacular, while the "Ball in Glove" look is boring, dated and has nothing to do with the teams namesake."Proof that if something is old enough, it automatically becomes good." That statement is not true at all. People like the Brewers throwback because a lot of people, including myself feel it is a much better jersey than what they are wearing now and how can you call the Brewers' BiG logo boring. Are you kidding me, that logo is brilliant. It is up there with the Hartford Whalers old logo.Surprised no one has thrown MLS into this.I really like that Timbers jersey too, and I like it far better than their other two kits. I also like that it separates them from the Sounders bright green and blue.
mjd77
For me, the worst part of the current Brewers uniforms is the colors. It's the exact dull switch the St. Louis Rams gave us... exchange an awesome royal blue and bright yellow-gold for a snooze worthy navy and pasty beige-gold. Nasty. For me, I'd rather see the current uniform, in the old colors. IMO, vegas gold looks like crap in every sport outside of football, because in football you can go metallic with the helmet like Notre Dame. That shade of gold looks like rancid mustard as a matte fabric. I agree with you 100%. It's the navy/gold color scheme I hate more than the actual unis. mjd77
Someone should do a quick render of what the brewers gold unis would look like paired with a white cap to represent the head of the beer.I'd rather see a mockup of the current unis in royal/varsity gold. The current Brewers uniforms are one of the best in MLB.You see? That picture right there represents the only real problem I have with the Brewers current set. Why do they need the Wheat M on both the cap and the sleeve? Couldn't they just re color the BiG logo and put that on the sleeve? Sure, the BiG logo doesn't perfectly match the Miller style beer theme. But it's such a simple and generic (yet brilliant, don't get me wrong) logo that it'd fit in just fine. It'd also be a great compromise and a nice nod to their history. They could also probably stand to lighten the blue closer to royal. Another slight nod to their history. The navy is what makes that set look kinda drab. Especially under their closed roof. The Brewers BiG uniforms themselves were downright awful. Generic block script, pinstripes, repeated logo on the cap and sleeve. Yawn. On 11/19/2012 at 7:23 PM, oldschoolvikings said: She’s still half convinced “Chris Creamer” is a porn site.) Morgan33
The "Wheat M" should be their primary logo. It's simple, effective, attractive and spells out "Milwaukee Brewers."
SplashBoogie
As beautiful as the Cowboys standard white unis are, I'm not a huge fan of the road navys. So yeah no.The Rays navy would be perfect with white lettering.
BJ Sands
I would love to see these beauties become Atlanta's full-time uniforms when their new stadium opens up in 2017.Blech. The current set is meh and outdated but these are boooooring. As a novelty they're OK but as a primary they'd get really old really fast. This might be the most overrated uniform in the league. Why it's so popular here I've never understood.

Also, they're far better than the costumes the Bucs wear now. Also, hello everyone. Long time lurker, first time posting. As for the Falcons, whether they use the throwbacks or not, they desperately need an upgrade when they open the new stadium.

Transatlantic42
Ok, so if we're going to be technical and smartie-pants, then yes.. But each of those does specifically represent the team's location.. The BiG tries to use both the initials of the location and the nickname to create a cap logo, which is a big "no-no" in my book to begin with (using letter initials for nicknames rather than imagery).. So, to use your examples, the BiG logo would appear to represent a team whose location is represented by MB or BM.. It would be a great cap for the Myrtle Beach Pelicans, but not for the Milwaukee Brewers.. Their current cap fits with your examples by representing the location name, but fits the beer brewing imagery with the beer label like font and piece of wheat..Not sure if someone has already said this, but the best example of the nickname and location working together on a cap would be the 93-96 California Angels. CA for the abbreviation of California and California and Angels together.

hawk36
I mean, it's not ideal, but it's world's better than their predominantly navy primaries.I would imagine if you polled sports fans all around the USA this may be the most popular choice for a alt to use full time. There are others in contention but this has to be the top. Design Hovie Studios

DC in Da House w/o a Doubt
I would love to see these beauties become Atlanta's full-time uniforms when their new stadium opens up in 2017.Glorious. I'd be perfectly happy to see this become the primary, as is, but if could be easily modified without hurting it's beauty. A black facemask for the gray facemask crybabies, drop the gold helmet stripes for the "gold isn't one of their colors" crybabies... hell, I wouldn't even complain too much if they felt like they had to use the clearly inferior current logo, since they overpaid for it . It would still be one of the best uniforms, if not the best, in the NFL. No way! I love that neat little quirk about these uniforms. I take every opportunity to flex my uniform nerd muscles and explain the meaning of the gold to people. I even hold down strangers on the street and force them to listen
