Really? Maybe it's just me, but when I think of "Raiders", the eye patch is the least important element. I see more of the silver and black and crossed swords as the definitive elements to the Raider image. Add in the skull instead of the pirate in the insignia, and to me you've captured the essence of the Black Hole and the Raider Nation perfectly.

As far as the design goes, the helmet on the skull reminds me more of a cowl (ala the Grim Reaper) than a firefighter's helmet. Could make for some interesting imagery there going along those lines.

yea who cares about the eyepatch. when I think of the Raiders logo I think of these things in this order.

1 -the face and helmet

2 -the shield

3 -the crossing swords

4 -the eyepatch

if it doesnt work why force it? I think Davidson knows what he'd doing as far as aethetics

I tryed to put together some uniforms to go with this great logo. I think i kept it pretty much the same but let me know what you guys think. And if you had something else in mind davidson let me know and ill try to fix it.

I like the total concept only thing I might do is update the number font, but it is very sharp.

I agree with the silver numbers and black outline on the away. It's a gorgeous look on the throwbacks, and works fine if the outline is thick enough. I think this concept would be amazing (even more amazing) with a custom number font and an updated wordmark.
