Minor changes to uniforms have been allowed. I know that in the playoffs teams have to stick to one particular set once they wear it (like the Chargers in powder blue a few seasons ago), but Seattle has yet to wear their road sets. Couldn't they just designate their grey uniforms as their road set because they haven't worn them yet? I think that Seattle in all grey vs the Broncos in Navy/Orange/White would look fantastic. It would be very unique for a Super Bowl without looking that jarringly different.Of course, I'd MUCH rather see the Niners there, but I could see them finding away around the strict playoff uniform set rule for that game for the simple fact that they have yet to wear a road jersey in the playoffs. Redskins still do itand it looks good, but that wasn't what I was talking about.I was talking specifically about Super Bowl endzones where the helmets were profile (Not 3/4 like the Redskins), the helmet on the left was the team's official helmet graphic and the helmet on the right had the team's logo replaced by the conference logo. They also used the team's contrasting color for the endzone base color so for example the Redskins and Steelers always had a yellow endzone, the Bengals' was black both times, the 49ers was red. I miss it because it unified the game with previous years and it was just one of those parts of being in the Super Bowl. Super Bowl XXX was the last time they did it. The colored endzones are always a little something that's special for the Super Bowl, especially since most teams don't have them painted at home. Pretty sure the 49ers painted their endzones once they got to the playoffs last year. And Miami painted their endzones at the end of this season once the college football season was over.
