What a game this has been.

Of course as a student of baseball history I know about the Royals of the 70's and 80's and how they won it all in 85. But I've never seen the Royals in the playoffs. I've never seen Kaufman Stadium in a meaningful game. I'm 27. This is cool.

This is so cool. The Royals haven't been in the playoffs since my dad was a year older than I am now. What a game. Unbelievable.

Seconded. I'm 24. The good Royals are a myth to me. Just stories of an ancient time. Just like Pittsburgh last year.

This is pretty damned cool.

and it was Perez who redeems himself with the game winner. Down 7-3 in the 8th I thought KC was done. That was awesome.

Now the Royals get to play real October baseball. It's October 1st.

edit: Aww I was happy for the Royals, but the shot of sad Adam Dunn made me sad. His first career playoff game and he didn't even get in.
