Magnus
The Raptors are on top of the East right now - have been for a while, and yet what is the top story on NBA.com? Kobe. Sickening. When will Toronto get some respect? When they win a playoff series? Or will it take making it to the conference finals for anyone to take notice that a basketball team exists north of the border? dfwabel
Also the new Kings management is nuts: http://grantland.com/features/sacramento-kings-draft-nik-stauskas/https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rEN6ad_Aw-MIt's illuminating at around 7:10.The open when the GM talked about how they had to do things differently goes back to who their owner is. Also, their D-League afficiate (Reno) is coached by a first time HC in David Arseneault, Jr. He, age 28, is the son of the coach of Grinnell in the NAIA, the school which gets featured on SportsCenter once a year when a player scores 80. DG_ThenNowForever
The Kings also wanted to play 4 on 5 defense, leaving a guy open to cherry pick baskets. They're turning into a gimmick franchise. Those generally don't do very well, especially in a sport like the NBA. 1 hour ago, ShutUpLutz! said: and the drunken doodoobags jumping off the tops of SUV's/vans/RV's onto tables because, oh yeah, they are drunken drug abusing doodoobags

Sickening. When will Toronto get some respect? When they win a playoff series? Or will it take making it to the conference finals for anyone to take notice that a basketball team exists north of the border? It's a factor that Kobe did just accomplish an incredible feat but it's also that the Lakers are just a weird, utterly compelling disaster. It's like seeing an old elephant fight valiantly against a pride of lions; we know the old bastard is going to go down one of these days but the sheer stubbornness and destruction he's trying to lay in his wake is something to behold. I can't recall a Hall-of-Famer who in this stage of their career playing so hard and so recklessly not for a championship or even the playoffs but just for glory and self-relevance. pmoehrin
The Kings also wanted to play 4 on 5 defense, leaving a guy open to cherry pick baskets. The tactical genius it takes to come up with the same defensive strategy I tried to implement in my fourth grade gym class. My god, how is it that nobody has ever thought of doing that at the NBA level? On the surface it seems like a question that nobody, perhaps not even the Kings have ever considered before. Its no wonder they fired Mike Malone. His problem was that he was only focused on trying to win as many games as possible. For a .500 team to resist what could potentially be the most groundbreaking defensive strategy in NBA history is inexcusable. The Kings are trying to revolutionize the sport. They see the direction the sport is heading towards.Right now they don't need a new head coach, so much as they need a visionary. Someone like Oliver Stone, or David Bowie. Not just a coach, but an artist as well. Someone who understands the creativity needed to win in the NBA with this defense. Not the coach the Kings need, but the one they deserve. The_Admiral
Isn't playing four-on-five with a guy waiting to chuck a three what Grinnell does to run up the score on little liberal arts colleges that don't care about sports? ♫ oh yeah, board goes on, long after the thrill of postin' is gone ♫
DG_ThenNowForever
Isn't playing four-on-five with a guy waiting to chuck a three what Grinnell does to run up the score on little liberal arts colleges that don't care about sports?I'm pretty sure that's the inspiration. On the plus side, they'd win those two games against the Sixers each year. It's so discouraging. The new regime was supposed to be an improvement on the Maloofs. The Maloofs were embarrassing, but more because of their absenteeism. Asking YouTube geeks for draft strategy and "1-2-3 NICK ROCKS" are shameful. So glad Stern fought so hard to keep the Kings with these goofs. 1 hour ago, ShutUpLutz! said: and the drunken doodoobags jumping off the tops of SUV's/vans/RV's onto tables because, oh yeah, they are drunken drug abusing doodoobags
