Anyone else see that botched offsides call on the UNC onside kick? Un :censored:ing believable, sums up the refs in a nutshell... :angered:

That looks bad given the value of a Clemson win to the ACC.

I'm actually really mad rn. Not even a huge UNC fan but my mom is a longtime friend of Larry Fedora so we were pulling for them.

So Clemson should be #1, Alabama and Michigan State #2-#3 (I have a hunch MSU can jump to two based on adding their 13th opponent to their schedule), and Oklahoma #4. Clemson gets rewarded by going to Miami. Alabama and MSU are pretty even and can settle their "tie" on the field, and Oklahoma gets taken away from the Dallas semifinal site.

Also putting Oklahoma at 4 helps protect Alabama from getting smacked in the semis by the Sooners.

That game was awesome to watch even as an Iowa fan. That's why I love Big 10 football. Although 2 of my favorite teams are in the big 12 I still hate big 12 football. Anyways as an Iowa fan that was the most painful drive I've ever had to watch.

I genuinely thought the MSU loss was going to throw that 4th spot into total disarray considering it left us with three one loss teams. Glad to see I was wrong about that.

This is the most deserving final four. All one loss teams, all conference champs. It's a boring as hell final four, but pretty controversary free. If I had to predict, I'd say that MSU and Clemson look like sacrificial lambs en route to what'll probably be a completely narcoleptic Alabama beat down of OU.

But who knows? Maybe Clemson is better than I expect them to be, and MSU seems to matchup at least well enough vs Bama. Still though, an MSU Clemson final sounds only slightly less snooze inducing, and frankly, sounds like an ugly as hell game.

As a B1G fan I was hoping MSU would land at #4 and draw Clemson. MSU played much of the year like Ohio State...just getting by. They seem to be playing better now and those were two very good defenses last night.

The smart money is on Bama vs Oklahoma but I expect MSU to be a worthy opponent on new year's eve.

Had Michigan State lost, it'd have been two undefeated teams (Clemson, Iowa) and two 1-loss teams (Alabama, Oklahoma) in the playoffs.

I'm sorry, I worded that poorly. I meant that all of the one loss teams are conference champs. I kinda half expected OSU to jump Oklahoma because their one loss was stronger than the Sooners one loss (Texas beating Baylor yesterday morning probably put that one to bed, though) and they justified leaving the Big 12 out last year because of the Championship game thing.

I just didn't want there to be any possibility that we'd be stuck with an MSU OSU national Title game.

Everyone seems to forget that Baylor and TCU TIED last year, so because there wasn't one champion they left them out. This year is different because OU was the OUTRIGHT winner of the conference, therefore no way in the world would a non conference champ jump a conference champ.
