Story B: Red Wings go undefeated and score 100 goals in every game. They also beat a team comprised of Godzilla, the ghost of Abraham Lincoln, 2 Power Rangers and Betty White. Oh, and they played in the middle of Iraq on a military base. In the sand. With no ice. Santa gave them special sand-skates that allowed them to play in shorts and t-shirts in 115 degree weather. Jesus, Zeus and Buddha watched from the sidelines and ate cotton candy.

Looking at the schedule, and what we already know, this just gets aesthetically worse with each week. I've already seen the Bills described as used Tampons this week. Next Week, the Jags get literally urinated on. Then the Bears will likely be all Orange and the Packers all green (At least there is a Historical basis for that one). Then we get the Lions looking like the Silver Surfer. Next is the Cardinals in all black, and probably Yellow Vikings. I'm guessing Pewter Buccaneers and Yellow Rams after that.

Please make it stop.

Me thinks you mean figuratively, not literally. And also we already know which 4 games are color rush games and the ones you mention aren't a part of this except for Bucs/Rams. Bucs are in all red.

What two greens are the Jets using? I'm only seeing the Kelly...

Chrome helmet decals are actually more metallic looking, while metallic is actually more glitter/flake looking.. The only time you get a true "chrome" effect is when the helmets are done with hydrographics and expensive paints, so both the jets facemask and decals are chrome, as far as the companies that produce them are concerned

Goodell only has the power the owners give him. I'm not willing to ascribe to him some sort of overlord power.

The shoulder and pants stripes are in the Jets' contemporary hunter green, as is the team logo on the chest.

In that photo, so are the helmet stripes and facemask.. I think it's just lighting (except MAYBE the patch).. I think we've gotten so nitpicky around here that we expect and demand perfection.. Nike has already shown us that it can be tough to match greens exactly, especially on different materials.. The rib-knit shoulder stripe inserts and smooth polyester chest material are completely different textures, so it's not surprising that they differ slightly in such dramatic lighting - similar to the helmet stripes, which are also much darker in this image, although we know they're also kelly

Nike has a multi BILLION dollar contract with the NFL. We should be nit picky and demand perfection.

You mean the contract that NIKE PAID FOR? Nike isn't MAKING the multi-billion to produce the nfl's uniforms - they're PAYING the multi-billion.. They're fronting the money, they can do what they want (within the league's rules, of course).. Not to mention, as I pointed out, there's some pretty dramatic lighting and a wide range of textures in that photo.. My basic point was simply that I'm not convinced that the Jets' jersey has their hunter green on it.. I suspect it may be all-kelly that just appears to be multiple shades due to various factors in that photo.. I could certainly be wrong, I just don't think we have enough information to conclude that they're going "double-green" for Color Rush

That green is so nice. Add white pants, keep the shiny helmet, and call it good. That's a handsome uniform.

The one thing I like about the "color rush" uniforms is it's potential to end the white bottom half crew socks as part of the NFL uniform. I never liked it. I never bought the whole "it makes the uniforms look professional" excuse either. Easily my biggest pet peeve when it comes to NFL uniforms.
