I think they should have kept them. They should have matched the pant striping to the helmet striping by adding the white middle stripe. I'll never understand why is wasn't that way from the beginning of their latest update.
upperV03 5,711 Posted September 8, 2017 Mizzou is going black/black/gold with the oversized helmet decals tomorrow against South Carolina: Looks like the design of the black jerseys and gold pants both stayed the same with the switch to the Vapor Untouchable template.

Garnet/white/black would be a good "throwback" to the 90s.
pscf3 282 Posted September 8, 2017 Mississippi State going Maroon/White/White at LA Tech, who as mentioned above will be in White/Blue/Blue Ole Miss wearing Navy/Red/White against UT Martin. Rebels really seem to be embracing the red jerseys as their primary look instead of navy jerseys.
upperV03 5,711 Posted September 8, 2017 Some nice new additions to Autzen for tomorrow's game: The logo will appear on both 25 yard lines, opposite of the Pac-12 logos.
jerrylawless3 122 Posted September 8, 2017 Vandy also going with the gold tomorrow.

I really want to see what those Mizzou helmets would look like if they didn't remove the white from the logo. The all yellow version just isn't all that great to me.
aawagner011 1,646 Posted September 9, 2017 Ole Miss: Anything other than the gray pants with the red and blue double stripe looks wrong.

Often times the logos, endzone letters, yard markers, etc. on turf fields are very slightly raised because they're essentially cut outs from different colored turf. I haven't been on Oregon's field for a couple years now, but I believe there is a slight raised effect, yes.

Webfooter 898 Posted September 9, 2017 With the way FieldTurf fields are typically done, the areas for lettering and logos are cut out and differently colored "patches" are put in, which can sometimes result in some slightly raised areas. I remember seeing this when Oregon was installing their new turf a year or so ago.
WavePunter 2,093 Posted September 9, 2017 2 hours ago, dmhtfld said: This confuses me. Is the grass raised where the O is? What prompted this question? The different color shades of the ribbon are due to the fact that part of the ribbon is painted over a yellow "O", and part is painted over the dark green turf.. There shouldn't be much if any raised effect of the turf letters.. The space where they're sewn or glued in is usually cut out of the turf below.. It should only appear as a seam of any sort (raised, gap, or otherwise) for about a month after installation until the infill properly settles..
