leopard88
Whenever I see a college that just uses "State" like Mississippi State or Michigan State (or like N.C. State back in the 70s and 80s), it reminds me of old movies or TV shows where they never say where everyone lives and some character talks about "going to State". It usually seemed to be a teenaged boy talking about going there to play baseball or something. I guess this is the much older version of the Fansville concept. 7 Quote Most Liked Content of the Day -- February 15, 2017, August 21, 2017, August 22, 2017 ///// Proud Winner of the CCSLC Post of the Day Award -- April 8, 2008 Originator of the Upside Down Sarcasm Smilie -- November 1, 2005

Probably a good thing there's no Wisconsin State University...around here the context of going to state usually means a high school team/athlete heading to Madison (or elsewhere, but usually Madison) for the state championships. Mississippi State, though...c'mon, man. Is their AD Sheriff Boz? They seriously should have rethought this, either that or just shrug and stitch on some Dr. Pepper patches on their uniforms. VDizzle12
The George Mason logo is fine as an academic mark. Just doesn't feel like something that should be used for athletics. Also is that font Gotham? Definitely seems like it.

Dynasty
George Mason's previous logo set was stuck in the 2000's and they definitely needed something new. This though, is not it. Very uninspiring. Not just for athletics but I don't even like it for academics.
