He can get supermax money with Golden State but go ahead and shop around anyways. I think if he leaves Golden State he'll be headed east though. DG_ThenNowForever
Kevin O'Connor had a good point. If Durant takes the supermax, his next contract would be at 35. If he takes for years, he would be at 34. By walking away from that $50+ in year 5 now, he may more than make up for it in his next and final real. KD for three or four years at 34 is a safer bet than the same at 35. 1 hour ago, ShutUpLutz! said: and the drunken doodoobags jumping off the tops of SUV's/vans/RV's onto tables because, oh yeah, they are drunken drug abusing doodoobags

dfwabel
Quote The Lakers are trading Mo Wagner, Isaac Bonga and Jemerrio Jones to Wizards as part of the Anthony Davis deal with New Orleans, league sources tell @ZachLowe_NBA and me. Deal clears contracts and creates more cap space for free agency. https://mobile.twitter.com/wojespn/status/1144308810670120960?ref_src=twsrc^google|twcamp^serp|twgr^tweet
Rockstar Matt
AD is waiving his trade bonus too. The Lakers now have a third max slot to offer (and only three players on the roster lol). Andre Ingram would probably come back and play for the Lakers. Alex Caruso is still around in some capacity too, right? The have the MLE and minimum contracts...but yeesh. 1 hour ago, ShutUpLutz! said: and the drunken doodoobags jumping off the tops of SUV's/vans/RV's onto tables because, oh yeah, they are drunken drug abusing doodoobags
OnWis97
So how many players do the Lakers currently have under contract? Like three? kimball
I only recall the '98-99 Bulls being almost THIS bare (they had like 3-4 leftover players from the '98 Finals Team?). But, this really is something else. "I always wanted to be somebody, but now I realize I should have been more specific." Lily Tomlin

Remember, not only was he giving out non-guaranteed contracts by acquiring as many 2nd round picks as he could, he was also picking up contracts at the trade deadline just to meet the loophole salary floor. 2013-14 Roster went through 23 players 2014-15 Roster went through 25 players
AustinFromBoston
Putting my irrational hatred aside, what exactly is the Laker plan here? Signing 2 or 3 top stars may be enough to get you in the playoffs, but where the hell is their depth? Do they really expect an aging (now injured) 34 year old Lebron, AD, & Whomever else to play max minutes for them in the playoffs? That roster is going to be top heavy as hell. FiddySicks
He’s gotta be going back to 6, right? He should’ve just gone back to 6 when he first signed with the Lakers. Kind of a dick move towards everyone who already bought Lebron lakers jerseys It’s hilarious how LeBron’s signing went, jersey wise. When he joined the Lakers, everyone bought a #23 jersey in the old style. When the new uniforms were released, everyone bought a #23 jersey again so they could have the latest design. Now, he’s switching to 6, and a ton of people will be buying new jerseys again.
dont care
Well the people who bought them in the old style were dumb, it had been known they were switching before he got signed so that’s all on them. Lebron switching to 6 isn’t a move for him to make more money because players don’t directly get money from jersey sales, but instead 2/3 of all profits for all merchandise goes to the players as a whole.
