All I need next is the browns brown top orange pants combo vs the chargers white yellow pants whenever they hook up..also get the corpses of dick enberg and Merlin Olsen and the old NBC logo from the early 80s then we have a winner

To me, the orange pants are nice, I'm definitely glad they're in the rotation, but I don't need to see them more than twice a year.  Orange over brown over white should still be the default home combo IMO.

Very nice. I like the white pants better, because I feel like it gives them a bit better overall balance, but the orange pants are a very nice option to have on occasion. The Browns are now absolutely one of the best looking teams in the whole league.

Have the Browns ever looked better than they do tonight? Asking for a friend.

Takes me back to my childhood...the orange pants should always be worn at home and 3-4 times on the road. This is a absolute perfection!

The orange pants are lovely but can’t be worn every game. They’re not the traditional look, and I think the novelty would wear off.

Yet because they should be in the rotation as an alternate, what should be the proper protocol? Maybe all divisional and playoff games? Perhaps prime-time games?

(They should throw the striped brown pants into the nearest dumpster. Weakest non-CR part of the excellent redesign.)

Neither the Browns nor the Steelers need white pants.  Their matchups would look great with the browns in orange whether home or away.

I'd say to go wipe your ass with their white pants, but that would turn them brown, which would be much worse than orange, so don't do that.  Just burn them.

Absolutely hate the orange pants.  Looks so much better with white pants instead.

I have to agree to an extent. It's just too much color for me. The white pants are a nice, neutral break from the brown jersey. Heck, white jerseys/white pants should be the standard on the road (with brown or white socks, I could go either way).

Still, the orange pants aren't too offensively ugly and are a semi-traditional look. At least there's no wordmark on them anymore!

I always thought of the orange pants as an evolution of olde-timey tan pants, and therefore perfectly in line with the Browns' aesthetic. You really pick up on it in the old pictures of Brian Sipe and friends where it was more of a burnt orange, less so with the Reebok dazzle fabric where it was closer to a traffic-cone orange. White pants are fine enough, but the A/B/A/B match is too good to pass up.

When it comes to their possible combos, I'd break it down like this:

Brown over Orange - 4 home games

Brown over White - 4 home games

White over Orange - 2 road games

White over White - 3 road games

White over Brown - 3 road games

Start there, then make small adjustments based on the schedule and what looks best in contrast with the opponent. The goal should be the wear the white and orange pants an equal number of times at home and to have white be the primary road option, then brown, then orange.
