Agree to disagree, honestly I like the large logo on the helmet, and i am indifferent to the new updated flag logo.

I've seen you and Samer have Twitter beef, so lets leave that away from here....i just posted the concept to show an option of what "could be" a direction the Bucs go.  No one's right or wrong, we all can and should have our own opinions.

You might agree with me or disagree with me on this, but i feel no return to creamsicle orange and no white helmets should be looked at.  Red primary jersey and pewter helmets should be where to start.

That's fair. I agree on the not returning to creamsicle part, too. Let's leave that in the past.

Counter to this:

No.

Alright, let's try this then:

1.  Take this uniform and put it into the current Nike template:

2.  Put the flapping flag logo on the helmet (right side of below image):

3.  Make the numbers not chunky clock bullcrap.

Not my favorite solution, but I can live with that direction.

I'll will admit that I'm oddly militant about this particular topic, though. If people haven't already noticed :P

I once wanted the creamsicle to stay in the past. But after years of the team being terrible in the '97-'13 and the staph infection uniforms, I think it's time to go back to something that nobody really remembers all that well and only sees as a "throwback" look. I like the white helmet, the pale, bright orange mixing with a dark red (darker than what they used way back when), and just how refreshing the whole look is now.

It's not like the white helmet can't look good:

Screen-Shot-2014-02-21-at-3.48.23-PM.png

The helmet at the top right would be an excellent shell for them, with either a tweaked '97-'13 logo or an updated Bucco Bruce. Pair it with dark red jerseys and white pants/white jerseys and white/dark red pants (with dark red or orange socks), then you've got something that'll look fantastic. Even pewter reduced to an accent would work, provided it never touches orange.

I just don't think the '97-'13 set was that fantastic. I get that it's what got many people into the team and it felt like a "rebirth" (e.g., that game against the 49ers). But it's been so long since those glory days and so long since those colors were fashionable (and able to be rendered effectively) that it might make sense to go back to white helmets and embrace creamsicle orange more. Unlike the disgustingness of the Mariners' trident design, the Bucs actually won things in the creamsicles for a few years before being terrible (not unlike the '97-'13 set, albeit that set had a higher high thanks to playing an Andy "football is more important than my sons" Reid team and Gruden's old squad).

On a selfish note, i have too many shirts with the new logo for them to deviate from it.  Going along the lines of the more recent changes (Jags, Titans), just do a on field uniform update for the Bucs and we're golden.

Literally my nightmare scenario for the Bucs.

I'll stop now.

Maybe.

Well I done already voiced (um...typed?) what I'd like to see--not like I expect it to happen, but a brotha can sure hope...

Two things:

1). That concept is trash. It still uses the same oversized, garbage flag logo that they use now, and the designer genuinely thinks that's a good look.

I'd honestly prefer they continue to use their current awful uniforms than use that concept, which retains most of the bad design decisions of the current set without improving anywhere else.

Also it helps to show your concept designs on a template where people can see sleeve and pants stripes.

I've always like the more detailed, wavier flag than what they ended up with, but lower left with the big Jolly Roger without the flag on a pewter helmet would be fantastic. That's probably what I'd go with if they were updating the 90's unis.

The Bucs can easily go in one of 3 directions if they do indeed want to change their look (all of which would be for the better):

1. Full on updating the Creamsicles, something I feel most people would be fine with and would end up looking fantastic on the field.

2. Updating '97-'13, something I feel most people would prefer. Think along the lines of the Vikes or current Dolphins looks.

3. Starting completely anew, using elements from both previous eras to try and create something.

I really would love to see the Bucs go full Creamsicle or '97-'13 as both were fantastic in their own right and both would fit in nicely with what teams wear now. The 3rd option is what scares me.... cause we could see something very simple like the Jags new set, something where the idea is nice but it's still a few tweaks from being perfect (the Jets IMO), or a complete and utter mess (Titans and Browns, as well as the current Bucs).

There's too many variations being brought to the table here. As a fellow Bucs fans, I too am like Bucfan and have unnecessarily heated opinions about where my teams visual aesthetic has gone. When I last when down to Tampa and drove by The New Sombrero, I just had to look at that big flag with its modern elements and just sigh. Like many have said, it's too clean, too contemporary and too gosh darn big on the helmet. The 97-13 helmets were perfect fine. That flag would look just as good now as it would 50 or 100 years from now. It has a timeless quality to it. I consider it akin to the Chicago Bulls. It's 50 years old and looks just as good, having fluidity in a multitude of uses. These new helmets and jerseys remind me of the current Seahawks aesthetic, which to throw out a hot take, looks like hot garbage and I don't think it'll age well after a few decades.

To counter my pirate brother though, the most recent mockup by the Tampa podcaster is pretty good. The orange sleeve touch is minor which works and the number font is more personalized and actually fits a team with a pirate team name and logo. Of course I'd change the flag and put pewter pants on their home jerseys, but that's a set that I think would be a huge step forward.

"And then I remember to relax, and stop trying to hold on to it, and then it flows through me like rain and I can't feel anything but gratitude for every single moment of my stupid little life... You have no idea what I'm talking about, I'm sure. But don't worry... you will someday."

Sabers as tapering leg stripes, three black shoulder stripes for 'battle damage' extending horizontally from the shoulders onto the chest (ala Jets stripes). 'Bucs' in modern front above numbers across the chest with a creamsicle nike logo on the shoulders, brown and red everywhere else. Worst case scenario?

I know that everybody has their own opinions, and it's all subjective, and yada yada yada, but reading through this thread, I'm absolutely flabbergasted that somebody actually likes their current uniform. Honestly, I'm flabbergasted to find out that it isn't universally violently despised. I think someone even went as far as praising the number font.

Astonishing.

You'd think that in the last few years I'd stop being shocked by other's opinions, but I guess not.

Next somebody is going to try to tell me the Titans' look isn't total garbage.

PLEASE don't get me started on that...especially up in here...

And yes, the Snatit's look is indeed a hot flaming mess.

I prefer the flag the Bucs went with from 1997-2013, I think the plain old Jolly Roger on one of those darker pewter helmets and a uniform set based on the 1997-2013 set (with primary pants that are said darker pewter) would look fantastic.

While I really liked the previous Bucs set, I feel that it could have looked even better with a less warm (read: yellow-ish) pewter, something like a gunmetal gray, not unlike this shade of helmet Old Dominion used to wear around 2012, 2013 or so:

new-hampshire-old-dominion-football-jpeg

Pairing that neutral (or even slightly bluish) darker silver with the Bucs’ red and orange (maybe the slightly darker red with the current shade of creamsicle orange) would look gorgeous (if done right) and avoid any possible comparison to San Francisco’s late 1990s-early 2010s look IMO.

Just keep the current logo and bring back the '97 uniforms, including shiny pants. Their current pants are dull and look brown, especially when wet. You can hardly tell the difference between the Browns' pants and the Buccs:

Legit, WORST possible outcome. The current logo needs to die in a fire.

I'm not a fan of the flamboyant Bruce logo (Not my words, just a way I've heard it described, to avoid any potential insults), but if it meant ditching the current logo package, I'd be fine with them just going straight back to the original set. I wouldn't be terribly happy about it, but I'd take just about ANYTHING at this point to ditch the current nightmare of a logo package.

Even the current ship logo, which I DON'T absolutely hate (It's still a massive downgrade, though), has some huge errors that are impossible to overlook.

I’m honestly flabbergasted more people don’t like it, especially the updated logo. The combo they’re wearing in the pic above is top 5 imo (minus # font).
