At $200-something per hour*, that's gonna be a LOT of man hours...and a nice chunk of change out the NFL's pocket if anything in there goes to trial.

*Basing that off the lawyer fees I dealt with--may be more for them, I'd assume.

The lawyers the NFL would hire would charge a lot more than $200/hour.

1:00 PM EST/12:00 PM CST CBS Games

Red: Jacksonville at Kansas City And an aside: This is the 4th time the Chiefs have had a game on CBS. This is also the 4th time that Jim Nantz and Tony Romo have been the announcers for a Chiefs game on CBS. 4 out of 5 of the other games were nationally televised. EDIT: And USA Today named Patrick Mahomes the face of the league. Makes sense.

Blue: Houston at New York Giants

Yellow: Cleveland at Miami

Orange: Denver at Tennessee

4:00 PM EST/3:00 PM CST CBS Game

Green: Indianapolis at Las Vegas. And now the state of Minnesota is flipping us off in Christmas colors. Just in time for two weeks before Thanksgiving.

1:00 PM EST/12:00 PM CST Fox Games

Red: Minnesota at Buffalo. Definitely going to be flipping back and forth between this and the Jags-Chiefs game when the latter goes to commercial.

Blue: Detroit at Chicago

Green: New Orleans at Pittsburgh

Red: Dallas at Green Bay

Blue: Arizona at Los Angeles Rams

That Bills/Vikings game is going to lose some luster when Allen sits.

I also think this is all but one (two?) weeks that the Bills have been aired nationally. This is a far cry from just a few years ago when the only Bills game I could watch was whatever TNF pittance they got.

Joe Thomas inadvertently describing why most old-school and some current head coaches are such lousy people and such lousy parents who's children have all kinds of issues.  he comes off as a total bro, and i sincerely hope that the new-school wave of coaches is nothing like this.

It's gotta suck to have someone go on national TV talking about how you ignored your kids for all but 15 minutes a week in pursuit of professional greatness and then they look you up and see you got fired after one 4-12 season. Maybe you should have spent more time with your kids!

This reminded me of this bit of water carrying from Seth Wickersham after the Bucs won the Super Bowl a couple years ago.

Kind of a rare thing to say, but I appreciate the Twitter comments. And in the case that Joe lays out here with Rob Chudzinski...he saw his kids once or twice a week for several months, his team went 4-12, and he got fired after one season. That might be the worst example of "this is the lifestyle" that could've been laid out. All it shows is that the lifestyle was a total failure.

Agreeed, even bill belicheck who everyone thinks is a soulless human being would go to every one of his kids lacrosse and football games when we played their team in high school. He made time for his family.

Good morning everyone!

I got up early to watch and it didn’t end up being a huge waste of time. Sweet!

I'm feeling a lot better about my preseason pick of Buffalo/TB. Brady dumped his baggage and is feeling good.

I underestimated the Bucs *sigh* and Tom Brady now just can think about football being divorced now.

Better hope someone like Philly, Giants can knock them out or Dallas and Minnesota exorcise their playoff demons before Brady goes to another SB.

I so hope TB doesn’t make the playoffs, simply because you always have to expect Brady to win as long as he’s on the field, and after the way they smashed the Eagles last year, even though Phila’s roster is significantly better and Hurts has matured, I’m not looking forward to any rematch.

I’d say that since the game would be in PHL that the Eagles would have a huge advantage… but the last time the Eagles were supposed to have an insurmountable home-field advantage against TB in the playoffs, it didn’t go so well.

True

I think the Eagles will not go undefeated, I can see them losing in December, either to Giants or Cowboys, but it would be best anyway because it would be too much pressure on getting a perfect record

They won't go undefeated because if they are fortunate enough to get the 1-seed, there's no way they'll try.  Their whole philosophy is to keep players healthy and protected, which is why they have one of the most relaxed - even by modern standards - training camps in the whole league.  I guess it depends on how many games are remaining in the regular season if/when they clinch the 1 seed.  If they clinch with 3 games remaining, they're not going to sit players for 4 weeks (or maybe they will?) But in the unlikely event they're 15-0 or 16-0, I can't see any way the starters are playing in the final game(s).  That being said, this team is deep, so they may be able to be competitive with the second unit, but probably can't win against any team's actual starters.

As it currently sits, the scary/frustrating thing is that Jacksonville could easily be tied, if not up, on KC right now. Two missed FGs and a TD called back due to an ineligible downfield which cost the Jags four more points (settled for a FG)--and then there was that costly turnover in the red zone where they probably would have scored.

I'll be real: I didn't expect this much fight from the Jaguars. I throughly expected them to get the brakes beat off them.

So I guess I'll now give Pederson some props for coaching this group up to the level they're at now. They still have a LOT of work to do yet, but I think they're trending in the right direction. It'll take some more time jelling and some obvious upgrades on the OL--you paying attention, Baalke??--but they actually might have something here. (I also saw that except for today, they've held a lead in every game so far.) Maybe next season they'll start winning these types of games rather than losing by two or three scores.

Team is actually reminding me a lot of Florida State in terms of growing pains...maybe next season Jacksonville turns a corner?? 🤷🏿‍♂️

So...a game the Bears probably should've iced by now is on the line because of a rash of dumb penalties and an interception.  So it's time to see if Fields can bail this foolishness out.

Edit: the Lions got a beast in this Hutchinson mug

Edit: congrats for snatching defeat from the jaws of victory, Bears.😔
