They were getting bad PR during the 2019 NLDS against St. Louis so for game 5 they did all this and the Cards put up 11 runs in the first inning. That's exactly what it is lmao, there is no possible way to make an NFL division in Europe work, especially since they already tried to do a European league and it failed to really catch on. But that means 4-5 more games that require overseas travel beyond Europe when you split up the schedule. And the need to keep those teams in the States while traveling, because it's even more expensive to fly those teams back and forth. And since divisions are composed of 4 teams, those numbers get even screwier because it's 6 games in division, and you'll have 11 games outside of the division with 5 or 6 of those games being away from Europe. Draft picks would try to pull an Eli Manning/John Elway if they didn't want to play for any of those teams. Also they would need American home bases for the 4 teams. The NFLPA would oppose 4 teams in Europe I think. I had read somewhere that the NFL wants to try to host regular season games in Canada again, which I don't know how that is going to work.
