New Western Kentucky uniforms. Points for stripes on helmets, jersey and pants, minus big points for keeping the chrome helmets around.

Funnily enough, WKU's chrome helmet is one of the very few that I like. They wear it enough that it's kinda become part of their look to me.

Consider me...whelmed. The pant stripe really adds a lot, almost too much. I think the biggest issue I have is the dropping of gold number outline, it really helped tie the shiny gold helmets in with the jerseys.

  • Stripes added to pants
  • Gold outline removed from home numbers

Those pants stripes just don’t make any sense

Looks like Adidas is introducing a new uniform material/ knit pattern. Gone is the chevron pattern on the chest. It also looks like the "W" logo moves to the actual collar instead of being applied to the jersey under the collar.

Love to see the return of pant stripes. It seemed like Adidas and Nike were dead set on killing the pant stripe. At least Adidas seems to be bringing them back!

Looking forward to seeing the rest of Adidas' portfolio updated.

Huskies have gone straight downhill since leaving Nike for Adidas...guess thats the norm though

I'd say Adidas overall has been a slight upgrade for the Huskies, since they had the common sense to completely get rid of black

Did they actually get rid of it, or did they just not have the stock to bring it back? I agree that black unis don't make sense for them. Mississippi State still hasn't got the memo yet though.

The stripes on the gold pants match the helmet.

The stripes on the purple pants should be purple-white-purple

The stripes on the white pants match the jersey, so maybe they will wear a white helmet with it with matching stripes.

There is a lot of unanswered questions with only releasing these 4 images and only 1 helmet shown.

My distaste of the pants stripes has more to do with them being thick at the top and really thin at the bottom. The tapered look doesn’t match the helmet stripes.

  • The tapered stripes suck.
  • The tonal stripes suck.
  • The single layer numbers suck.

It's actually making me miss these.

If a team could pull off those tapered outer stripes, it would have been Georgia Tech. Would be 10x better than their stripes that just stop for no reason.

On Washington though it just looks weird. Don't quite understand their vision here.

Ah yes, the iconic jaws of Husky Stadium. They need some refinement but I thought it was a look they could build their identity off of. Miss those numbers for them (PNW reference aside).

Seems like Washington can never get its uniforms just right, there always has to be some weird thing that throws off the whole look. Getting rid of the gold outline on the numbers looks fine for the classic gold/purple/gold but every other combination it is badly missed. The tapered pant stripes are puzzling too.

Washington just needs to keep it simple, here's what they should have:

- Same helmet

- Plain purple jersey (no weird purple stripe), white numbers with gold outline

- Plain white jersey (no weird purple stripe), purple numbers with gold outline

- Gold pants with purple/white/purple stripe

- Solid purple pants

I hate adidas but actually like these.

The tapering pant stripe gives it a traditional yet modernized touch that doesn’t bother me as bad as it should.

Love the two-town Purple on the White uniform and the tonal use with different fabric on the Purple uniform.
