What that incentive is, I dunno, I haven't done content creation there (yet), but when you see guys like JG9 who absolutely spaces his videos out with unnecessary detail and whatever, just know that there's likely a specific reason for it. (And whoever said JG9 videos have a pompous air to them - I think it was @Red Comet, you're absolutely right. I could see that, but you don't need 8-12 minutes of blathering on about nothing to get past ten minutes. 10:30 will do the trick. Usually it's to boost metrics like viewer engagement time and to insert more ads (why I'm thankful I pay for YouTube Premium). Also, making multi-part videos is disincentivized by the YouTube algorithm - this is why view counts drop for each additional part of a multi-part production.
