I’m good with the Guardians name and the team’s safe rebrand, but I just wish they went back to the ‘90s color balance (minus the added white outlines/double outlines).

Purple vs. teal/Northwest green is really nice, but I have to say I'm not a fan of how those jerseys look with the road pants and wish they'd only wear them at home. I also hate how the silver wordmark looks.

It’s funny seeing MLB try and do these Little League uniforms (I’m assuming that’s a dead program, yeah?), when the real little league uniforms were right in front of them the whole time. 
 

 

Nothing in the world feels more Little League to me than a bright primary color on color matchup of actual MLB team uniforms. 

EDIT: Not sure why I’m being “yawned” for this one. I don’t think I’m being clear. I don’t mean that as an insult. I think color on color in MLB is great. Just reminds me of Little League (which half the point of is to make kids feel like big leaguers).

I feel like a huge part of the issue is the accessibility online. If it was legal, but say, only at casinos, then you'd have to physically go to one to place a bet, and that would make it harder for people to get lost in a gambling addiction. Especially since many casinos here in the US are pretty far out from major urban centers. (minus Vegas, but that's still an actual trip most people make, and not an everyday thing)

 

But the fact that it's too easy to download an app, or access a website to gamble, makes it so much harder to avoid, especially if already have that addiction. I'm not opposed to sports betting, and leagues seem to be managing it well, even cracking down hard to avoid fraud on their end, but having it too easily accessible is a bad thing and going to cause a lot more issues here very soon. 

 

You wanna drive to a casino and place bets on all sorts of crazy things, that's on you. You can always physically leave and stay away if needed. But it's a totally different thing when an app on your phone, constantly reminding you that "there's money to be made". How do you get away from that when things start to become unhealthy?

It's not a bad thing. Just an observation. I love actually the game combos.

 

Especially since the current Mariners are that nice midpoint between the colorfulness of the late 80's/early 90's (teal) and the darker mid to late nineties (royal -> navy).

If you didn't mind the low profile fit, the batting practice style and one of these is your size it might be as close as you get without paying eBay prices. Just thought I'd share.

I think you're underestimating how easy it is for people to access illegal gambling websites on their phones. I have plenty of friends who were doing a ton of sports betting on the black market before it was legalized. Data estimates that in the US alone $2.6 billion is gambled on offshore websites every year, with none of that money going back into the American economy and no obligation for consumer protection.

 

With pretty much any vice, history has shown us that prohibition is not an effective solution. The most important thing is educating people (especially young people) and giving them the opportunity to make informed decisions. Every legal betting app gives players the option to lock themselves out of their account for a set period of time, but they can definitely improve how much they promote this tool.

I imagine he kept a few of last years, and other guys probably did too. I don’t think that’s too uncommon for guys who know they’ll be back, and may have caught wind of the changes and not liked it. 
 

Aaron Nola wore pre-NewEra logo era Low Profile 59Fiftys for a season or two after the hats were replaced. I just assume he had a bunch saved for some reason (not that the changes to the caps were anything at all like the changes to the unis)

Really? Seems odd to me that Harper would be storing his own uniforms. There's a whole staff of clubhouse employees in charge of that. I wouldn't think players ever have to even think about storing their uniforms, at least not in this era. Maybe decades ago but not these day. And in a new season you'd figure the entire stock of uniforms is from this year.

Maybe it was one of the game-worn ones that they auction off in the stadium and he bought it so he could wear it again.

Someone pointed this out on Twitter (in another tweet besides the one below), but Suarez didn't have the Maryland flag patch on either sleeve of his black jersey. Interesting mistake given that it was on his white jersey when he made his first start with the team last week vs the Twins. Here's evidence:

Son of a...  I JUST GAVE UP ON IT COMING BACK AND UPLOADED A NEW DODGERS UNI IMAGE WITHOUT IT!!!  

 

I did the exact same thing last year, but with all these missing uniforms, why would they bring back a random alt gray days after again.
