Because that is a preference thing, unlike helmets, gloves, pants etc.A quick scan of the Kamloops Blazers website (chosen at random) reveals this picture of a collage of different stick manufacturers:However, every player in the Photos section was wearing the same pair of Bauer skates, by the looks of it. There used to be a time when every team in the league minus the Flyers had pants stripes and now only a handful of them are still using them.Things I don't like or ways it could improve. 1. black. There are enough teams in the league who are already black. A dark green would have been cool, although that would have looked minnesota wildesque. Or purple, what was so wrong with purple?2. Number font. I hate the wideness of these numbers. They look like something you would see on an indoor lacrosse team.3. Take the D from the wordmark crest and make it a shoulder logo. 4. A wordmark should not be a primary logo.other than that I think these look really good, although they remind me of the scranton/wilkes barre penguins. I truly believe I am part of the .001% of hockey players (non-goalies) that actually use wood sticks. I love my Sher-Wood featherlight! That is not to say that it makes sense for certain teams to wear it (like say, the Canadiens or the Islanders), but for those that can get away with it, it works, and we are all the more beneficial for having it and having something nice to look at.Also, I have yet to ever see a good looking grey hockey jersey. The closest I can find is the Lewiston MAINEiacs third jersey, but the reason it's a good jersey is the massive amount of goofiness involved in the logo on the front of.Also, gray isn't a dark enough color to be home uniform or light enough to be a road uniform.
